WaterWorld is a very very cool place! There are 42 different water attractions, or so. It gets bigger and bigger every year and is filled with so many fun attractions. I also like that you get a good workout while there because of the hike up the hills with the inner tubes! The wave pools are also a lot of fun and it even has some attractions for younger children. The only downside is the price, $28 each to get in, but discount tickets were available at Safeway when we went. Parking is FREE, which is so nice.

Looking for a place to take your children for some playtime? Take them to The Children's Museum of Denver.
This museum is full of fun activities for children to use their imaginations - as well as their energy. They also get to mingle with other children.
Babies under the age of 2 have their own play area designed just for them. Older children will enjoy playing upstairs.

This amusement park is a pretty good deal for the price...but there is no way I would go on the weekend. Of course, I probably wouldn't go to ANY amusement park on a Saturday or Sunday, but since this one is less expensive than Elitch's, it tends to attract more teenagers on those days, who seem to act overly silly, but I'd rather avoid it during those times so my small children can enjoy the park.

The Children's Museum of Denver is awesome! I have just as much fun as my 4 year old daughter every time we go. She loves the pretend grocery store area where there are mini grocery carts, mini check out lane, mini cash register and a ton of grocery store items to buy. She could spend all day in there! In the same area is the restaurant where she hands me a menu and everything on the menu is back on the other side of the counter so she can really pretend to cook what I order (plastic food). It is great! She also loves the art area and paints a masterpiece every time we go. There are so many different things to do- I highly recommend it!

We always have a great time a the Buckhorn. The service is always excellent; curtious and time welled in between courses. The appetizers are great. Don't complain about rattlesnake or alligator or cow testicles, it is what it is.
Whenever family visits we bring them here and they always have a great time and enjoy the food.
Thank you!
Pros: Excellent service, food, portions, atmosphere
Cons: pricey,no beer on tap(but a good selection of bottled beer)

This is a genuine 100+ year old Colorado saloon and it is fascinating. Check out the Colorado liquor license (#1!!!) over the bar in the upstairs saloon. Lovers of antiques and Victoriana will be in hog heaven! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting.
The food is excellent--focusing primarily on steak and game. They offer some unusual dishes as well--buffalo sausage and rattlesnake, to name a couple. Hundreds of stuffed animal heads line the walls--to the chagrin of vegetarians and the delight of most children!
