I love this hotel. Right when you walk into the lobby, you're swept with the feeling for grandeur and romance. There's gold everywhere (I think i'm just particular to gold), and t...

This was my first time traveling to Las Vegas, my trip was booked as a package deal with 6 other family members, who have been to Las Vegas over 8 times.

Dinner was ok, dessert was AMAZING 10/31/2006

So my boyfriend and I still talk about the ""Bodino"", the most amazing dessert. Dinner was ok, I agree with the other reviewer who stated the portions were small and I thought a little over-priced as well. Tasty though. But the dessert is awesome, especially accompanied by their french pressed coffee. I'll be back on my next trip! Pros: Beautiful restaurant, amazing dessert Cons: Small portions more

Great sushi, great cocktails, great atmosphere 10/30/2006

My heading says it all--the sushi was fantastic, the cocktails were unique and delicious, and the atmosphere was great: not too crowded, zen-like unobstrusive dividers to give you a sense of intimacy at your dinner table. The only critique I have is that I wish the waiter had been faster in coming to pick up our check but, besides that, highly recommended. Pros: GREAT atmosphere and cocktails Cons: A little bit pricey more

Chill lounge 10/30/2006

If you get ushered in by promoters who are usually waiting at the MGM entrance, it's a nice place to chill and drink. Easy to chat and meet people. No dancing. more

Very nice treat... 10/29/2006

11 of us did the ""family style"" meal here this past weekend...huge variety of seafood for an appetizer(2 different types of oysters, shrimp coctail, crab legs) and a nice selection for main course(kobe flat iron, fish(?), scallops, lobster, mashed potatoes, fresh veggies etc...),the seafood was fresh and spectacular...the kobe flat iron was amazing...there was a special fish whose name escapes me...that was the best I've ever had. Plenty of everything so that each person gets some of each. We couldn't finish everything. \r \r The family style is well worth it. With 5 bottles of wine , coffee and tax/tip included, we spent $130 each. Not cheap, but well worth it for a 3 hour meal of more great food than you can finish. If you don't mind spending the $$, this is worth it. If you do 1 great meal every once in a while...this could be it.\r \r The service could not have been better. Pros: Fresh food, incredible service, all around amazing experience. Cons: $$$$ more

Gorgeous but HUGE!! 10/29/2006

I stayed at this hotel for a convention. The first room was a double queen and was clean and beautiful. The only problem was the family next door was rather loud and the walls seemed thin. I requested a room change and upgraded to a double queen mini-suite. More room for my co-worker and I to move around in and included double sink - separate shower stall and small living room area. No noise problems in the second room. more

That beautiful hotel... 10/22/2006

The first one we ever stayed in so my son always screams MGM when he sees it on tv. It's beautiful, clean, comfy and all around excellent. It's got a great daycare for kids and lots of good restaurants. We've been to see the US Open Supercross at the Arena many times and that was a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable and so was the bathroom. I highly recommend it. more

Not the best Italian Food, very expensive food and drinks, officious staff. 10/22/2006

First experience, had the pork stuffed pasta, it was extremely tasty, but the portion was so small...not enough. Another friend of mine had the same reaction to the dish. Wait was outrageous, over 1 hour from apps to entrees.\r \r Second, had a server that was selling the premium items to the point of rudeness. I ordered chicken, and it seemed like I was doing something wrong. Not the best experience. Pros: Taste Cons: Staff, Price, Portions more

WOW!!!! 10/22/2006

This is the best show in the strip. The script, the stage and evrything else is exsquisite. From the massive floating stage to the depths of the abyss things, including a sinking ship, fall into strain your mind in awe. Enchanted forest and creatures to snow storms with falling ice projected skyward keep you asking ""what else can they think of?"" Expensive but worth every penny. \r \r Pros: Evrything Cons: Price more

Good Food, not the best in the MGM though 10/22/2006

Fun experience with some empanadas, beers, and chicken. It is not my favorite MGM restaurant, but overall good. Pros: Better than average Food, Ambience Cons: Slightly expensive for Mexican more

Top Asian Food, Great Venue, Location, Staff 10/22/2006

I have eaten at Pearl twice and both times have been great. The location is amazing, and the large water/wall in the right rear of the main room makes for a very cool place.\r \r I had the spare rib appitizer both times, and it was great on both occasions. I had almond chicken one time and a salt and pepper beef dish the second. Both entrees were great. \r \r A meal at Pearl could range from 40-100+ per person, but I think you will enjoy the experience, check out the menu beforehand. Pros: Food, Room, Location Cons: Price a bit high. more

Good Buffet 10/22/2006

Not bad at all, so I would recommend it. The food was good and fresh and the waiter was attentive. We had a coupon for it since we stayed at the hotel and got a 2 for 1. Excellent value !! more

Grand it is! 10/15/2006

Very positive experience - was able to check in early and lines moved quickly. Clean, spacious deluxe king room. Abundance of dining and entertainment options! Hotel can be overwhelming at times because of its sheer size, but pretty easy to find way around. Everything is well-marked, but elevator area is a bit cramped. more

Perfect combination of food, ambiance, and service 10/12/2006

Just got back on Oct. 13 and took my wife to Fiamma as our ""Italian"" dinner night and all I can say is Wow! The service from the start was perfect. We decided to arrive about 30 minutes early and sit in the lounge area by the fireplace and have a couple cocktails. The ambiance, decor, colors, textures, etc. in this restaurant are very well done. Chic but comfortable. The star of the night, as well it should be, was definitely the food. My wife ordered the Papardelle which was about the most fantastic pasta I had ever tasted in my life. The ragu bolognese sauce with this parmegan creama was just simply amazing. I couldn't keep my fork out of her plate. My steak was great as well, but if you go, definitely go for the pasta - it was simply spectacular. The ceasar salad was also fantastic. My wife said it was the best ceasar she had ever had and she knows her ceasar. If you're looking for a great Italian food and want a cool but comfortable atmosphere, you just can't go wrong with this place. Enjoy! Pros: Pasta dishes, ambiance, service more

Highly Recommended... 10/6/2006

Very, Very, Very good food. Great service. My parent are almost vegan. They were totally accomadating and overly nice. Service is great. Food is yummy. I recommend the Mongolian Chicken (not on menu) as well as some of the appetizers. Good Noodles. \r \r All in All, a perfect restaurant Pros: Perfect Experience. No Glitches... Cons: Maybe the Wine List if I have to be a critic... more

Totally worth going to more than once! 10/5/2006

My girlfriend & I decided to cancel our original dinner reservation, and were able to make a same-day reservation at our desired time at Craftsteak. It was one of the best decisions we made on our recent trip to Vegas, as the food (we ordered the 32-oz ribeye steak to share) was totally worth the experience! Be prepared to spend $$$, especially with the expensive wine list, but there are many great selections which just enhances the overall quality of the restaurant. The service was outstanding as well and I would certainly recommend this for both couples seeking romantic dinner, or groups seeking an enjoyable upscale dining experience! Pros: great steaks, extensive wine list, excellent service Cons: wine list is a bit pricey more

Nice addition to MGM Grand 10/5/2006

The sleek decor makes Rouge a real eye-catcher. It's definitely a nice place to pop in for a drink or two before or after dinner. Rouge has a look/feel of a more exclusive lounge, but the service and ambience is very unpretentious and welcoming... more

Great Las Vegas Dining 9/11/2006

Fiamma is what Las Vegas dining should be. Elegant, Hip, Fun, and just great food overall. The ambiance here is straight out of a James Bond movie. The lighting and astmoshpere are done just right. The service quality here is top notch. Made reservations and was seated right away. All of the foods had excellent plating and service quality. Most of the food portions was enough for two. The one thing I would recommend is getting the Tartoffal for all you chocolate lovers. This is a great spot to come to especially before going to see KA. This is what dining in Las Vegas should be all about. Pros: Good astmosphere and excellent food Cons: Pricy resturant about $70/per person more

Kobe skirt steak is phenomenal 9/9/2006

I have eaten here numerous times with friends and out of towners and every time, we have left pleased, if a little lighter in the wallet. The kobe skirt steaks are fork tender and the hawaiian prawns are delicious. James our waiter remembered us every time we came in **by name**. Not many people can attest to that, especially in Las Vegas! \r Definitely recommend the Dark and Stormy cocktail, a smooth concotion of dark rum, lime and ginger beer (not ale) that compliments the Kobe. We told them it was our anniversary and my birthday the last time, and we got the red carpet treatment of an onslaught of tasty desserts. We love this restaurant! Pros: Excellent service, professional staff, excellent dining experience Cons: be prepared to spend good money on great food! more
