A couple hours ago I treated myself to a birthday dinner at Nobu, the Japanese restaurant at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The food was superb and appeasing both to the eye and the palate. Visually the presentation was a cross between Rembrandt and Michelangelo it started my taste buds dancing with joy from the first glimpse. Each dish was as carefully explained as it was prepared. As I placed each bite into my mouth, my palate was climbing up moonbeams, dancing on clouds, and sliding down rainbows. The food was carefully prepared with the finest ingredients and the flavor was incomparable. I had the one-hundred fifty dollar seven course Chefs? Sampler. I could describe in intricate detail every course, but that would take away from the mystery, that allows one?s imagination to run wild in eager anticipation as you?re awaiting the next course. Suffice it to say a glimpse is all I will divulge, the fois gras and Kobe beef with caviar made my legs nearly commence dancing. The significance of this is a thrice broken back, which has left me partially paralyzed and numb from the waist down. In addition not only is the quality unsurpassed, but the quantity as well. Nobu is a must add to your Bucket List. I?ve eaten at some of the best restaurants in Las Vegas both nouveau and classic. (Restaurants like the Alize? at the Top of the Palms and classic old school Vegas like the Golden Steer, both phenomenal, in my humble opinion.). The wait staff is friendly and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable and informative. I?ve eaten at restaurants from San Diego to Vancouver, BC. My last vice is the enjoyment of cuisines from around the world. Nobu has earned a spot at the top of my list as one of the most enjoyable restaurants I?ve ever experienced and some of the best food I?ve ever had the luxury to consume. (Tonight was my third visit, and the good lord willing, far from my last.) If there are chop sticks in Heaven then Nobu will be there as well.
Pros: Greeat
Cons: NONE

So I was craving sushi at 2:30a.m. and was out with a friend who had never had sushi before, after deciding to be adventurous we looked up "late night sushi las vegas" on my handy dandy blackberry and up pops Kaizen Fusion. We were right around the corner from their perfect and easily accessible location. Once inside the vibe was hip yet still authentic. We sat at the sushi bar, which is the best place to sit, and received excellent service from the start. The menu is abundent, and has beginner items to adventurously exotic, with the prices remaining reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Pros: Example: best croissants in town
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

I am a very credible source of good food. Osaka's is a must dining experience for anyone seeking great Sushi! The Sushi is so fresh, it is outstanding. I cannot imagine anyone to find a Sushi restaurant any better than this. While the service is important the freshness of the fish is most important. With this restaurant you get both. Great fresh fish and great service. Off of W Sahara Ave only 5 minutes from the Stratosphere, this off the strip experience is one any Sushi lover should do. You will not be disappointed!
Pros: Fresh fish, good service, convenient off the strip location
Cons: NONE

I used to run a sushi critic website some yrs ago as a hobby. Moving to las vegas, I was happy to see so many sushi places to choose from - and still enjoy trying them out. But I must agree, when it comes to value and quality Narita is very hard to beat. It is my "home" sushi place, and I eat lunch there alone often. Yes, sometimes service gets easily overwhelmed...but the place is small and its worth the wait. The owner/chef is making the sushi - you forgive it on the rare occasion it happens.
After all, it happens because ppl have found how good it is and crowd the small place once in awhile. Especially weekend dinner service. This is why I eat LUNCH alone in peace and tranquility.
Pros: nigiri size and quality, best spicy tuna roll on planet, lunch specials are fabulous value
Cons: service overwhelmed on occasion, so they might miss your salad

Great service -- I made a reservation for 20, but was joined by 10 more for 30. I hosted some, and others required separate checks, all wanted different drinks, the wait staff took it all in with grace and accommodated flawlessly. In this era of shoddy service, it's refreshing to encounter such positive attitudes. I would've given it a recommendation based on that alone. However, the food was good too! I've had better Japanese buffet, but not in the USA. This is the best I've encountered in USA and I received many positive comments from my fellow diners. I would definitely recommend this place.
Pros: Service, food
Cons: Location may be hard to find
