I’m not sure if Pearl’s is a worse art store than Flax, but it’s cheaper and seems to always everything I need when I go there, so as far I can tell, it’s a groovy place that might not have all the frills of it’s haughty competition, but certainly does the trick in a pinch. more

Great selection! 4/16/2006

I've been to Pearl once and my MIL who is in the art field, goes there a lot. They have a great selection of art supplies, like brushes, paints, canvases, etc. I got some nice watercolor pens and supplies and also some fun gift items like art related magnets, socks, etc. It's a fun place for Christmas stocking gifts even! more

great place 11/16/2005

This is a great store to go to when you are looking for art supplies for any type of activity. I always go here looking for a certain specific item, and I always seem to fins what I am looking for. The prices are pretty reasonable and the parking is alright. The only bad thing about this store that I have witnessed a few times is that they are somewhat disorganized. They do not have signs or any type of postings to let the customer know where to begin his/her search for a certain item or product. But, the employees will always point you to the right direction if you do ask, so, that is always helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone I know. more

Pearl is an art supply store located in downtown near the shopping center and other great stores. This place has a lot of materials for any art project you want to start. When I feel like making jewelry, I go here and look for the materials i need to start. They have almost everything i need. Sometimes i have to request some items, but everything works out, the product arrives in stock as promised. Pearl sells beads, chains, ribbons, journals, paints, etc. more

Great Place 10/21/2005

This is a great place to shop for Art Suplies and the prices are excellent. I usually always find what I am looking for in this store. The only thing I wish would change is if they could be just a little bit more organized, because I always have to search for things.....I never know where to look...... more

Low Cost Art Supplies 8/9/2005

Perl offers many arts and crafts supplies at low costs. This store is huge and has many floors. It was hard for me to find what I needed but once I found it, there was a wide variety to choose from. In my opinion, I think this is the best art and craft store in San Francisco. The staff was also very helpful in helping me find what I needed. more
