New Asia Restaurant

This is THE worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I am a 4th grade teacher who spends a great deal of time during the school year touting the achievements of the Chinese in California. As a reward for excellence, I took 2 students to Chinatown yesterday to treat them to a tour and a dim sum lunch. We were put at the very back of the restaurant on the wall. We were treated with impatience or ignored. I immediately ordered Hong Kong Style chow main so that we'd have something to eat if the kids did not like the dim sum. The chow main never came out. After a half and hour, I asked where it was. Meanwhile the Chinese people next to us who had sat down 40 minutes later than we did, received theirs. The children immediately assumed it was because we are white. I asked about the incident and was feigned ignorance. I was charged too much and the waiter would not explain charges. We never got our chow mein! Do not patronize this restaurant. I will NEVER go back and I will make it my mission to share this horrible experience whenever I am asked about food in Chinatown. more

We ate at this restaurant yesterday. The Dim Sum was OK, the service OK,I guess. Until I got the bill.\r It was expensive and when asked explanations to the waitress, she was so rushed and impatient I couldn't even recheck the calculations she had done manually. I urge the management to express the PRICES IN DOLLARS and in English, not in CHINESE, so that patrons, who do not speak Chinese, know exactly how much they will be charged for each small plate of dim sum they get. I know that using Chinese language on the checks adds a touch of authenticity, but at least the prices should be readable by everybody.\r Sorry to say the restrooms were.... something else from this world !!\r Needless to say we will never go back. Pros: Authentic atmosphere, large dining area, sitting available in a timely manner Cons: mediocre food, expensive, dirty restrooms more
