This is THE worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I am a 4th grade teacher who spends a great deal of time during the school year touting the achievements of the Chinese in California. As a reward for excellence, I took 2 students to Chinatown yesterday to treat them to a tour and a dim sum lunch. We were put at the very back of the restaurant on the wall. We were treated with impatience or ignored. I immediately ordered Hong Kong Style chow main so that we'd have something to eat if the kids did not like the dim sum. The chow main never came out. After a half and hour, I asked where it was. Meanwhile the Chinese people next to us who had sat down 40 minutes later than we did, received theirs. The children immediately assumed it was because we are white. I asked about the incident and was feigned ignorance. I was charged too much and the waiter would not explain charges. We never got our chow mein! Do not patronize this restaurant. I will NEVER go back and I will make it my mission to share this horrible experience whenever I am asked about food in Chinatown.
