Michelle has been doing my hair for over a year and I will never let anyone else touch it! She is the best! She knows exactly what she is doing, even when i don't know what i want. She has the best attitude and always makes my experience a blast. I would absolutely reccomend her to anyone! I will follow michelle anywhere she goes, she is definitly worth it. I was going to a girl named yvette ancira and she happened to move from one salon to this one and I have to say the salon shes at now works. they offer wine and she still has the same outgoing personality. Im glad shes here now. I will definately follow her whever she goes. more

Somehow I am having trouble posting my review. So I will try it again! I followed Shondi from Maximum FX. She is an awesome stylist. I always have a great time visiting with her and always love my hair. She really takes the time to get to know you and your hair. Shondi really listens to me before we get started and as she is working. And she always explains how she is styling my hair, so I can create it at home for myself. She never rushes me or pushes me into anything. I really feel like she gives me and my hair her full attention. She is the best stylist I have ever visited, and my hair has never looked better. I always leave a very happy client.... more

Manika is clearly the high maintanence type who probably has never worked in the service industry. I bet she's just as impatient with waitstaff as she is with stylists. It's no wonder she doesn't have a regular stylist. The correct spelling is Shondi, and although I am not a regular client of hers, she has done my hair, both cut and color, on numerous occasions over the past several years. Being a hairstylist myself, I trust few with my magnificent coifs. You didn't even give Shondi a chance. How could you bad mouth someone who never even touched your hair? Shondi takes pride in her work. She is a natural when it comes to doing hair. And you should turn your cell phone off before you enter any establishment! Shondi is a kind, sweet, loving person who listens to her clients' needs and I know that nothing pleases her more than to make people look and feel good. Just remember, a hairstylist is a beautician, not a magician. And no, nobody cares if a crabby apple like you leaves and never comes back. I'm sure Abby found you incredibly unpleasant, because you just sat and complained about Joie de Vie (you obviously don't know what that means). You are just angry with yourself and at the world. Boring, nobody cares! And by the way, little miss rude Manika, you are a terrible speller. more

i was looking for a hip do for my austin lifestyle. i was recommended shondie by a friend and loved every minute of my experience at the salon. from walking in and asking about parking. i parked on the street and the owner of the salon gave me 2.00 in quarters to fill the meter. then they made coffee fresh for me and attended to my hair needs immediately. ive been back 3 times now. shondie is the best i hair person i ever had. i brought her a photo of an actress i loved. and she replicated it exactly. ive been really disappointed with other stylist before and have kept my hair long and strait forever. but now im open to new cuts because i trust her so much. i love love love shondie and her salon. Had an appointment at 10:00 am and i arrived 10 minutes early because i do value peoples time. I waited 40 minutes and my stylist never showed up i guess she forgot. The entire time no one offered me a drink or anything . A massage terapist arrivied to show me the facility's about 20 minutes after i arrived i guess to basically waste time so that Shawndi would show up. At 10:40am i proceeded to answer a call on my cell phone and was stepping outside to talk when shawndi ( i hope i spelled it right) and she said oh sorry ill be with you right away when im set up i took that opprtunity to talk to my friend and hopped in my car and sped off. I spent $2.00 in the meter parking (i should get compensated)...........lolols. I drove to JOSE LUIS SALON and explain my nightmare (it was actually (daymare) and they took me right away THNAKS ABBY you are great. Will never return to that hole for any services. I have been a client at Joie de Vie for almost a year. I see Charlie and Nikki, and they are both incredible. I go to Charlie for my hair and to Nikki for waxing. Nikki makes you feel very comfortable and she is awesome at what she does. She's also a sweetheart. Charlie is an award-winning hair stylist, so it's very easy to give him free reign with my hair. He always offers up amazing tips and ideas as well. Charlie and Nikki are wonderful people and they are super-fun to be around. I never feel like I'm simply going to my salon appointments...I feel like I'm going to hang out with friends. Pros: Friendly service and fun atmosphere more

I used Joie de Vie on my wedding day for myself, my mothers and my bridesmaids. We had a wonderful experience there. Brandon is a doll. He truly goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. They pampered us with mimosas and even got me a gift! I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great place for group pampering. Plus, Diane does amazing up-dos! more

I have received massages from both of these talented massage therapists and all I can say is WOW. Truth be told if I can even form a coherent sentence at the end of my massage with them I'm doing very well! They are the sweetest people, intent on making sure their clients are relaxed and pampered from start to finish. I always feels that they are receptive to what it is I need during the session, and their talented hands take care of the rest. The salon itself is chill, fun, relaxed and inviting. The staff is vibrant and welcoming, and the cafe upstairs is such a nice way to unwind before a session and a nice way to transition back into the outside world afterward. I love this place, and if you are wanting to treat yourself, a loved one, a coworker or anyone to this kind of healing therapy go here, find Audrea and Steve and completely UNWIND. more

BEST HAIRCUT AND STYLE EVER!!!! You actually tamed my long course thick hair into a touchable stylish shapely mane!!!!!! I have tried every cut , style and color but Jamie L knew exactly what to do and didn't want to just chop it off like all the other stylist I've been to! Its sooooo shapely and easy to style.....three shades of blonde that look very natural and will not need to be touched up very often. Exactly what I've been looking for. The drive from Fredericksburg will be a snap every 4-5 weeks and well worth the trip!!!!!! Your service was impeccable! Brought my very stylish mother and daughter for cuts and they were ecstatic!!!!! Would recommend you to anyone! Thank you! Oh and the salon is very cozy and not too edgy. The salon has an upbeat vibe and all the staff is extremely friendly. You can always count on a glass of wine or two and good conversation. more

Nicki has the most amazing touch! I literally almost fell asleep in her room. She is so sweet and down to earth. I felt extremely comfortable with her. ( I usually have a very hard time relaxing) She listens to her clients concerns, is very knowledgable and has an amazing touch. more

I live in Ft. Worth and make the trip every 4 -5 weeks to have Crystal cut and color my hair - she is truly amazing and so talented. She always listens to what "I think I want" then makes her recommendations. I have always been extremely happy with my cut and color - so I highly recommend this creative young lady. Christine's facials are the best in the biz. She has a gentle, yet effective touch. And her face, scalp and hand massages are to die for! The infrared light took years off of my face and chest. I was amazed at the results. She is VERY knowledgable about her business and the latest technologies and products for skincare. I am also a BodyTalk client and have greatly benefited physically, emotionally and spiritually from my BodyTalk sessions with Christine. more

Charlie is THA BEST! I have long, thick, straight brown hair that I used to be so nervous about trimming but over the past 2 years he has both calmed my fears about cutting sometimes inches off at a time and gently moved my style forward. I trust Charlie so much that the last time I was there contemplating long bangs and a shorter length over all, I said to him, "Whatever I'm saying, go more because I know we should," and then I just sat back and enjoyed my red wine which he worked his magic. He always does a great job and I never doubt his judgment. By the way, Charlie also gives the best scalp massage in the world! He has my highest recommendation! more

Shelli at Joie de Vie does an amazing job w/ my hair - both cut AND color. I went from blonde to brunette in practically one sitting and have never looked back. She knows just the right shade to compliment my skin tone & eyes. Not only does Shelli do a great job w/ my hair, but I look forward to seeing her just because I like her so darn much. My hair is curly and thick, and it's always been hard to find stylists who don't seem afraid to deal with it. But, Charlie was recommended to me, and I've been going back for about a year. My first cut with Charlie: He saved me from a mullet...A curly mullet my last 'stylist' gave me! He found a really cute, short style for my hair, and now he does my highlites, too! Charlie is the ONLY stylist I've ever been to that will actually _tell you his opinion!_ I've asked before, "what would look good on me...Long? Bangs? Layers?" etc., and the stylist just freezes up- afraid to give an answer. Not Charlie, though! Which I think is a _very_ good thing! My hair looked so good after Charlie cut it, both my mom and sister started going to him. Charlie even came out, on location, to my sister's wedding in Manor at 9am to do our hair!
