best hair salon in San Francisco 11/8/2005

I've gone to Glenn for 20 years with brief absences when I went to someone else nearer to my home in the East Bay. I learned very quickly that having the perfect hair cut was worth the trip to the city. He is an artist foremost who also does hair design. This is an unbeatable combination. His perfectionistic style carries over into the care he puts into the entire environment. You can't go wrong by seeing anyone in the salon. The best hour of relaxation 11/7/2005

I trully enjoy my once-a-month visit. It's like going to a 5 star day spa with out the attitude. They have a diverse music selection, hip friendly staff, fair prices, they serve great cups of green tea, and they never push any product. I highly recommend Adrian for Men. Headlights a Delightful Discovery 11/7/2005

I was walking in Hayes Valley and just stumbled upon Headlights. It was a delightful discovery...very pleasant atmosphere and good ambiance. Adrian cut my hair, and was phenomenal. He listened to what I wanted as well as giving suggestions. He did not rush through the cut, but rather catered to my exact wishes. Headlights offers a very professional experience for a very reasonable price! Pros: great price! more

I was lucky enough to stumble upon Headlights, a great hair studio located in Hayes Valley. The salon's atmosphere is very nice, staff are very friendly and helpful. From the moment I entered the salon they offered me some herbal tea, current magazines to read etc. My hair cut experience was great, they did a great job! Killer cuts and color 10/27/2005

I absolutely love my haircut and highlights. Richard Fitch is extremely talented and know exactly what I want when I come in. I was in a rut with my old hair dresser and not happy at all . I have been getting so many compliments on my hair and I feel wonderful!! I am a stay at home mom and going to the salon makes me feel great!!!! Thanks Richard!!! the highlight of my life 10/27/2005

I am of a japanese decent and have black hair. I was unsatisfied with my same old color. Richard suggested that I get some highlights in my hair, I was extremely nervous that I would end up with orange hair. Richard assured me that the color would not be brassy. Bask in the sun filled Salon with a view of the new Hayes & Octavia park and watch all the beautiful people walk by as you surrender your hair to these tres cool guys who care about your look as least as much as you do...Richard is stellar at cut and color and wants to give you the look you want. Great Cut Great Guy Great Price! 10/21/2005

I haven't had a haircut like this since I left New York! I finally found the perfect dude to cut my hair. My hair is wavy and medium length, tough on a guy, and Richard cuts it right every time. The first time I thought it was a fluke. The second time was just as good. And I just got the third cut. Plus the place is nice and Richard is a crackup. more

Curls and color! 10/21/2005

I have hard to cut curly hair and have not been able to find a stylist that can manage my wild style. I booked an appointment with Richard and he did an amazing job! He really understands curly hair. Great Color 10/20/2005

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but in this case I must. I searched for someone great with highlights and color, and i found Adrian i went, expecting to be traumatized the way I'd been in my previous attempts at other stylists' salons, but i was thrilled before, during, and after. Adrian was reassuring and skillful, and my hair color looks better than it ever has. I highly recommend Adrian and Headlights salon. Pros: Great Color, Easy Appointments, Reasonable Price more

A Hayes Valley Experience 10/20/2005

I was in desperate need of a haircut. My regular stylist hadn't been able to fit me in for a couple of weeks. I was in Hayes Valley a couple of Saturday's ago and walked into Headlights. Richard had an opening and was able to fit me right in. I have a stubborn cowlick in the front and very fine hair which shows every little cut. He really paid attention my hair and how it grows and gave me a haircut with some style. The true test is when I get home and do my own hair. I have been getting my haircut from Richard for years and have NEVER been disappointed. I love the salon, the people, atmosphere and most of all the location. I drive all the way in from Marin to get my haircut as I have not been able to find anything that matches what Richard has been able to do for me. I highly recommend Headlights to anyone! This salon is great for both great cuts/styles and expert color. Very hard to get both within a reasonable price. Here you got it!! Do not expect a pretentious atomosphere, but do expect a chic salon with lively and entertaining stylists. GREAT PROFESSIONALS. Never had a bad cut and always outstanding color. Best colorist you can imagine 10/13/2005

Adrian gives swell cuts, but baby, oh baby, the color. An artist's eye for creating depth and complimentary tones through a combination of highlights and lowlights, as well as a could-fool-your mother ""base color."" Get my hair cut by Adrian all the time and he does an EXCELLENT job, not rushing me in and out, but making it a great experience and providing me with a great precision hair cut.
