She was extremely kind and knowledgeable and assured me that the desired results could be achieved with fillers. I am beyond thrilled with the results!!! My experience with Dr. Kim has been positive from my very first meeting with him. He listened to what I wanted and explained the procedure (rhinoplasty) very clearly, taking the time to answer my questions and letting me know what I could expect. Dr. Kim places a great deal of importance on a natural result, which was very reassuring to me. On the day of my surgery, I felt completely confident and in very skilled hands with Dr. Kim and the staff of the San Francisco Surgery Center. It has been almost two months since the surgery, and I am extremely pleased with the results so far. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Kim for rhinoplasty or any other facial procedure. UPDATE: It has been over a year since my surgery and I am even more thrilled with my results now than when I wrote my initial review. I recently saw Dr. Kim for botox. My first time! Dr. Kim went over all of my concerns and all of my options. The doctor was polite, attentive, very supportive and everything you want a doctor to be. I am so excited with my results! I look great but not overdone, which was my biggest concern. I highly recommend Dr. David Kim. I will see him again in the near future. I am a nineteen-year-old college student and I had been having breathing problems for about a year before I was diagnosed with a deviated septum. I decided this summer that I wanted to undergo surgery to fix my septum, and after much consideration I also chose to have a rhinoplasty. I spent months researching doctors and scheduling appointments with plastic surgeons all over Marin and San Francisco. After a friend recommended I meet Dr. Kim, I scheduled an appointment and immediately decided that he would be my surgeon. Dr. Kim explained both procedures thoroughly and with great expertise. It was evident after my very first appointment with him that he is one of the best in his field. I was particularly impressed with his belief in ""natural beauty;"" he emphasized that his main goal is to ""create a nose that one could be born with."" He fully understands facial plastic surgery and also comprehends how the changes made in surgery evolve overtime. The biggest challenge in following through with the septoplasty and rhinoplasty was convincing my dad that a minor cosmetic change to my nose would be worth it. My father did not want me to get a nose job because he believed that every person he has ever seen who has gotten the procedure looks fake. I continuously argued that I trust Dr. Kim more than any other doctor I've met and with his vision for a softer, natural-looking nose, the surgery would turn out great. When my dad joined my mom and I at the appointment the day before surgery, he listened to what Dr. Kim had to say and began to agree with me. I got the surgery exactly one week ago and I am thrilled with the results. It was absolutely painless and besides minor stuffiness, I was absolutely comfortable in my splint. I didn't even need to take pain medication and I felt fine. I got my splint off yesterday and I am ecstatic with the results. While I am still extremely swollen, my nose looks fabulous. It still looks like the nose I was born with, just a bit straighter and softer-looking. And I have never breathed this well in my entire life... It is absolutely effortless! The moment of truth came last night when my dad caught his first glance of my new face. The first sentence that came out of his mouth was, ""You were right."" Thanks to Dr. Kim, following through with the surgery was the best decision I've ever made. I would like to especially thank Sarah Ann in his office for all of her support and help throughout the process. I highly recommend Dr. Kim for anyone considering facial plastic surgeon.
