Went to this place (Cossu) because first time in town. went out to eat when we get there, there was no parking (1hr for parking) bartender don't want to serve anyone and have to wait 30minute for my drinks (suprised us with expensive price too). After ordering our food and went to the restroom, see the cook walk out from the toilet and he doesn't even wash his hands!!! huh I said to myself? came back to our tables and told my friends and we left with the quickness. Pros: SCAM Cons: NONE more

Went for a Birthday Party and was so SAD to see Pasha was sold....A landmark to San Fran and a fun festive restaurant. The New Cossu was dark and dingy inside, all the artwork and beauty was gone.. Not to mention the food was strange and small. Not at all what I had expected. No Valet parking anymore...the new place is lame lame lame! Stinky Hookah pipes in the bar area...super gross. They should have opened this stupid place down the street and kept Pasha the way it was....stupid idea Cons: No Valet Parking anymore...stupid more

Worst Restaurant ever!! Keep Away! Bad service, Bad food, Bad entertainment, Complete Rip Off!!!! 9/27/2008

1. Extremely Bad Service 2. Small portions of food. The fixed menu is deceiving. You are forced to take it! Bad Food 3. Outrageously expensive. I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW SO THAT PEOPLE DON'T GET FOOLED BY THE WEBSITE AND GO THROUGH WHAT WE HAD TO GO THROUGH!!! We were in group of about 10 people at Cossu (known as Pasha before) celebrate a friend's birthday in Sept 2008. Firstly, their menu and waiters are very deceiving. Even though they had entrees listed in the menu, we were told that we had to order the Moroccan and Middle Eastern tasting platter and that we had to order a minimum of 8 of those for 10 people (even though the menu clearly states that 1 platter served 2 people) .It was weird that they did not mention an of this when we made the reservation, but was later almost forced on us, for there were no other options!! The service was extremely bad! In my 26 years, I have been to several restaurants in 5 continents and have never come across such BAD SERVICE!!! We had to walk to find the waiters as there was no one attending to our table. The pace at which the food was served was extremely slow, so slow that people were looking at each other wondering when the next course would come!! In the 8 platters we had called for, we were served only 5 falafels. We wanted some more, but finally gave up and walked out of the restaurant after waiting for nearly 2 hours and reminder him 4 times!!! There was one belly dancer who barely performed for 30 minutes all night and band failed to make up for the bad service and food with their shrill and cacophonous music!! The agonizing 2.5 hours with bad food, bad entertainment and frustrating service came with an exhorbitant prize to the effect of $80-85 per person. They charge a 10-12% entertainment tax (Don't know what this is and they don't tell you about it in advance) + 18% fixed gratuity +8.25% sales tax top of their overpriced food and drinks! What - a - RIP OFF! Pros: Nothing. Keep AWAY! Cons: Bad Deceiving Style of sevice, Bad food and ambience, Outrageously expensive more

The Best Moroccan Restaurant In The Bay Area. 8/23/2008

I have visited Morocco in 2005 and I was fascinated by the food and the culture, when I came back to San Francisco I started exploring the so called Moroccan restaurants, went to Marrakesh, Aziza in San Francisco and El Morocco in Pleasant Hill, the service sucked the food was nothing like what I have had in Morocco. And I found out about a new Moroccan Restaurant called Cossu in SF, we went there on a Saturday for dinner before going dancing, OMG the atmosphere, Decoration, the service were excellent, greeted by the owner and his wife at the entrance, got the best service any1 can ask for, the food was exactly just like what I had in Morocco, the same spices taste and texture, the prices were reasonable. The music was great, the belly dancer was a pro, I recommend it to every one. more
