I had a chance to go to this restaurant for a media dinner and have to say that the food was amazing.
Service was very good as well and we had dinner in one of the private rooms on the 2nd floor.

Zingari Ristorante is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco, not only the food is great, the customer service is excellent. You get to be treated special by the owner himself. The menu selection is awesome. The restaurant itself is located in the heart of the city, close to tourist spots and walking distance to beautiful hotels and shopping stores. It is a must to visit, when you are in the "city by the bay".

I can't say how much I love this restaurant! I am a regular of bacar and every time I go it gets better and better! We always get our same table (if you request it, they normally can give it to you). We started with the soup (Cream of Parsnip) and the Pork Belly which is one of their signature dishes and too die for. So bad for you but oh so good. We then had the RibeEye which was perfectly cooked and delicious. My partner also had the Sole off the entree menu and although I only had one bite, it made me want to switch plates with him for a bit and visa versa. Our server was adorable and very knowledgeable especially of the mind blowing wine list they have. I think they something like 70 wines by the glass. Very impressed with everything once again. Thanks bacar.
Pros: Hot Service Staff, Great Happy Hour, Groups a Must, close to clubs
Cons: Too much to choose from!

This is a lovely little french restaurant with an exceptional prix fix menu. I like to start with the baby spinach salad and end with the creme brulee. All the entrees I've had are fantastic, as is the service.

Whether you plan to attend a game or event at AT&T park you should stop here for drinks to watch the game or hang out. My boyfriend and I went before a game and had lunch which was really good. We got salmon and steak and it was really tender and delicious. There were a lot of people outside but it was a fun atmosphere. They are a little pricey but it is worth the experience.

We came in for brunch on a Saturday and had a great time. We started off with a bottle of champagne and some oysters. The champagne (Veuve Rose)was recommended to us by our server and was excellent and the oysters were super fresh. For our entrees we had an Eggs Chesapeak (like Eggs Benedict but with crab cakes instead of ham and english muffin) and some pancakes. The service kicked ass. Awesom brunch. Sit outside if the weather permits so you can watch the marina folks stroll by.
Pros: Wine list, Brunch
Cons: Wait list for outside

I went here the other night with a girlfriend from work. I had heard about this place from fellow co-workers and finally decided to try it. I had heard that it is pricey (even for just drinks and appetizers!) but we went anyway. I am glad we finally decided to try it out. This place is amazing! I had one of their exotic house cocktails(with an umbrella, how girly right?!) and so did my girlfriend (it was girls night out after all!) We decided to order some appetizers as well (after seeing the menu and the dinner prices we decided to not have dinner here) but instead enjoyed some of their specialtys, such as the corn fritters, and papaya salad, both were very tasty! Perhaps next time we will try this place out for dinner. I figure any place that can make appetizers as fresh and scrumptious as these must do a fine job with the main entrees as well! Nice atmosphere as well, attentive staff! a little bit noisy though.
Pros: Delightful exotic house cocktails! Atmosphere and naturally the food!
Cons: Pricey, a little loud.

I'm originally from the midwest, and I like to take my family here when they're in town because they can only handle so much "california cuisine" (my dad needs his red meat!). They have great fish & chips and the shepherd's pie is fantastic. Good selection of oysters and the live music is a nice touch. Really cool building. Our server was never there when we needed her and wouldn't go away when we didn't need her though! The food and atmostphere are wonderful though.
Pros: Great building!
Cons: neighborhood

I came up to San Francisco from Mountain View on the train just to dine at this restaurant. We hiked across town from the Fourth and King terminus. When we arrived in front of this place, the doors were shuttered. The place was closed with no signage explaining the restaurant closed.
My six year-old daughter cried right in front of the place because she was looking forward to it from your reviews. Maybe I talked it up too much because we're Czech and there are very few places like this in the area. This isn't Chicago with it's vast array of Czech restaurants. Another one is gone.
