Great for the winter! 9/23/2005

Situated in the middle of a retirement complex is Edenborough park, and indoor kids play area! They renovated it around 2004 and then started charging admission. Adults are free, but kids cost! You can buy a 10 punch card for around 40.00 I think. In one area they have a large play structure, kind of like Chuck E Cheese but bigger. On the side of it they have a small climbing wall which is fun for the kids. They also have a separate area for the little kids (babies, crawlers etc). My kids last about an hour in this section. Then they have an open gym with lots of balls, sliding toys, and they open up a large bouncy thing where kids can go in and jump. They also have some live entertainment at certain times. Overall, it is great in the winter especially with toddler - preschool aged kids! more

Good place for a fun outing! 9/1/2005

I planned the afternoon portion of a bachelorette party here, and it couldn't have been more perfect. We started out by making a reservation for one of the croquet greens. It was easy and the people working were so nice. Then we had a picnic lunch by the lake. It was a gorgeous day and there were plenty of people around to look at, and even a wedding to view. After our lunch, we packed everything up and brought it back to the car, because parking was so convenient. After that, we walked a path over to the croquet green, got our mallets and a copy of the rules, then played croquet for an hour. It was so much fun and so easy and relaxed, it could not have been better. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect for a relaxing afternoon before a crazy night! more

What a hidden gem!!! 8/11/2005

My husband and I love this park. It is sort of hidden between some buildings in Edina just south of Southdale Mall. It is quite the gem. We frequently go their for walks - they have a great walking trail. They also have paddle boats, mini golf (with real grass greens), lawn bowling, croquet, and music (just to name a few things). In the winter you can go ice skating here too. I once did an outing with a bunch of my girlfriends to do croquet and lawn bowling - we had a blast! Then we went over to Southdale for cheesecake and drinks. There are also several great restaurants right along the park. Great place for kids too! more

Beautiful place to be! 6/16/2005

This is a great place to wander and enjoy a lovely walk. You can rent a rc sailboat or throw a line in and cash a fish. This location is so beautiful that my sister is getting married here, we are very excited to enjoy all the beauty of Centennial lakes park. It is a wonderful place in the middle of the city that is a beautiful natural place to enjoy. The trails are fantastic and smooth for roller blading and strollers alike. more
