On a recommendation from my sister, my husband and I started bringing our neurotic male cats, Morty and Jack, to Lyndale Animal Hospital for their yearly check-ups. Specifically to Dr. Grindal.
The building looks very plain and clinical, but the moment you walk in with your furry friend, a receptionist greets you at the desk while a lovely old calico looks on from the counter. I was automatically treated like an old friend, feeling comfortable asking any questions I had about my cats.
The actual appointment with Dr. Grindal was so much easier than I could have ever imagined. My cats are both terrified of the vet to the point that they have been downright vicious and have even drawn blood from many a vet tech in the past. We heard that Dr. Grindal had a "gentle touch," and that he "baby-talked" to animals to calm them down. Well, the rumors are all true, folks. Not only was he friendly and accommodating, but he treated our animals with such gentle care and respect, always seeming to understand the anxiety they were going through and never making me feel humiliated for having such high-strung felines. Even though our cats were still pretty angry that they had to be at the vet, Dr. Grindal gave them a full examination and still managed to keep them very subdued, without having to endure any swats or biting. This guy is amazing!
A major bonus is that Dr. Grindal works every other Saturday, so you don't even have to rearrange your work schedule to bring in your furry friend for a check-up.

I went there with my cat who was licking and biting all her hair off. They ran some tests and found she wasn't having an allergic reaction, no infection, or fungal problems, but they left with me no other advice over the phone when I called for the results. I'm not sure if they are just expecting me to shell out more money for another trip just to give me advice they should have given me in the first place. I may just have a neurotic cat. I guess I was hoping for something more conclusive. The one visit was around $130. Their base price for a visit is $48, then plus expenses (shots). They were very friendly however, and they may be great for cats with more typical problems.

We have been taking our animals to Dr. Smith for over 20 years. She has always given the same compassionate, non-rushed service that she always has. She knows her animals, has seen a lot of illnesses, etc. and has a wealth of experience. Dr. Smith and her staff are the greatest.

Normandale Veterinary Hospital is a great clinic in Edina just off France Avenue and W76th Street. It's not to far from 494 and France.
Normandale provides most veterinary services and is a great place to board your animals while on vacation.
The staff is friendly and Dr. Hallstrom is not only great with the pets, but great with the owners.
You can also buy all your pet's medications and food there as well.

I took my dog to Cedar Pet Clinic for the first time today and have never been happier. She had a minor skin infection and kennel cough and the staff was wonderful. They got me in immediately and cared for dog with a true love for animals and exteme compassion. The doctor took extra time to explain everything and even gave me great free samples to begin brushing my dogs teeth! Cedar Pet Clinic exemplifies what a vet experience should be for people and pets alike! I will continue to take both my cat and dog to the Clinic and encourage anyone else with pets to do the same!

I always dreaded going to the dentist, but this dental office is a very pleasant experience. I have always felt well taken care of, they are sensitive, and have been given good service. They hygienists are very friendly and very good. I also had complications after the removal of my wisdom teeth and they were very responsive and fit me in on short notice several times.

Camden Pet Hospital is a nice pet hospital but also a little pricey most likely due to the fact that is small. I used this when my dog got her foot run over, and they bandaged the foot very well as well as showed us how to care for it by ourselves. So the service is good and all but the prices are high. In the end if you want a homey feel go to this pet hospital. But f you want a good price go to some big national chain.

When my daughter was a toddler she had a very bad experience with a dentist. After that day she no longer wanted to ever have to see one. We're talking screaming/crying at the thought of getting her teeth cleaned.
I looked around hoping to find a pediatric dentist that would alleve her fears and provide expert service. MetroPeds was recommended to me by a friend who's son had extensive dental work done before the age of 8. She told me that they care for the kids, don't talk down to them, and treat the parents with respect also.
My daughter adores her dentist now. The office is what you would expect of a pediatric office - toys, Ranger Rick magazines, huge fish tank. However, when you go back to the chairs it's a different story. There is a "parent gallery" where us grown ups can see what is going on (and your child can be reassured that you are there) before the open exam room. The exam room is very cheerful - posters, artwork, toys. Kids can see whats going on in the chair next to them (which my daughter says is "Cool"). When you see the dentist you see the same hygenist every time which is appreciated. No fear of the unknown after the first visit.
My daughter has already undergone quite a bit of dental work and has done so with flying colors. The dentist is very clear to not only the child but to the parent about what needs to be done and why. I truly appreciate this office.
Note: They have opened an adjoining office for cleaning only. It's set up like a more traditional office, but for older children and children without fear it's not a big deal.

I would recommend this Chiropractic clinic to everyone. The entire staff is great - they are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Anderson is great and is an expert on auto accidents. Lynn is a great massage therapist. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
