Camp Snoopy is located right smack in the middle of the Mall of America. They offer lots of kids rides as well as adult rides. (Caution: beware of Timberland Twister!) That ride is crazy! Besides that, there is a nice variety of rides. You can purchase a points pass (coupon in the Entertainment book) and those are good for a year. These are good if you have small kids who will only go on a couple rides each time. Otherwise they also have unlimited ride wristbands which are quite pricey. You can usually find discounts on these. They also have annual passes available for about 90.00 a person. This is a fun place to come!

One of the exciting things at the Mall of America is actually free! Legoland offers a nice break from shopping and let's the kids use their imagination to create fun things. They can use the legos to build cars that they can then race on the racing ramp. There are duplos available for the smaller children as well. There are giant lego creations (permanently adhered) that are very cool to look at. Of course there is also a store where you can buy all of the legos available. They have an excellent supply of Knight's Kingdom accessories as well! Very fun, and totally free (unless of course your kids talk you into buying them the legos). The other thing they offer is you can buy individual lego pieces to replace specific ones you have lost!

Now that my kids are getting a little older, I am realizing that camp snoopy is pretty expensive. I used to be able to buy an 85 point ticket, take the kids on a couple rides each time we were there, and it would last me at least 6 months . Once they can go on the bigger rides, the point value increases, and you need to get either a wristband or annual pass. Otherwise you could spend a fortune on just points. If you have a small child (2 or 3 years old), the points pass is great! (There is always a coupon in the entertainment book as well). I always used (and still do use) the rides as a tool to get the kids to behave in all of "mommy's stores" first so they could go on the rides later! Works pretty well!

Como zoo is a great, traditional animal zoo. First of all it is FREE, which is always great. Second, it is outdoors only, so you can only go when the weather is good. What I like about this zoo is that it has traditional animals like zebras, elephants, lions. These are animals you will not find at the MN zoo. Like anywhere, the food is expensive, so bring your own lunch. There is a separate area of rides for the kids, but I have not gone there yet. There is also a nice park across the street for after the zoo, or for lunch! This is a great place to go!

First of all, the one I went to is in Eden Prairie. Pump it Up is a place that primarily hosts parties. They have a huge play room filled with giant blow up jumping toys. They have a giant slide, an obstacle course, a wrestling ring, and another jumping one. The staff supervises your party, so that you can enjoy it. You then get a party room with optional add ons such as pizza, cake, treat bags etc. I believe they also have a play time sometime during the week for individual play. It would be an excellent place to have a birthday party, but the costs is around $200, which is prohibitive for many of us!

This is a large antique shop right off of 35W and Hwy 13. Although convenient to the freeway, you have to wind around on frontage roads to actually get to the place. I was expecting more than I got when visiting there. It is large, lots of individual spaces filled with your typical antiques. I didn't find anything spectacular about the place, and it certainly doesn't have the ambiance of a quaint little antique shop in a cute town somewhere. So depending on what you are looking for, you might find it. But if you are like me and you like the whole experience of going to an antique shop, I would skip this place and go to Stillwater or Red Wing.

We own a Honda Odyssey van and bought it with 63K miles. Because of this, we wanted to make sure all of our major maintenance was done at an authorized Honda dealership. We have been to this dealership several times for scheduled maintenance. We are always able to get in right away, and the car is finished when they say it will be. Of course the prices are dealership prices, but I always feel confident that the work will be done right, and that they will fix it if there is a problem. They will also give you a ride home (within a certain distance) while your car is being worked on. They are a friendly, reliable dealership and we will continue to use them.

The Aveda Institute is a huge "beauty" school. Because it is Aveda, it is more upscale than a typical place. They offer a full range of services from cuts, colors, facials, waxing, and massages. I have mostly gone here for massages. The massages are wonderful and professional. The prices have increased a lot, and they are now close to what you can find a massage for elsewhere (in a lower range salon). You will see lots of students with lots of colorful hair! I think I had my hair cut there once, and although it turned out fine, I was scared the whole time. I guess it depends on your risk-taking level! The massage is low risk!

Located in Uptown, this is a very fun and stylish salon. I had a stylist I worked with for awhile who started at the Advanced Training academy and she always did a great job. My only complaint is that their prices rise WAY too fast! My stylist went from being at the bottom (20.00 range) to 24, then 28, then 32, then 35 and then 38! All of that happened in like a year and a half. I could no longer afford to go to her, and I knew if I found someone else the same thing would happen. I moved about a half hour away, so it was an easy transition. If you are looking to spend $35-40 on a hair cut, or you don't care if you go to the same person each time, it is a great salon with a lot of style, and would definitely be worth looking at.

I have been going to Coles for about 5 1/2 years now. The first few times I went, I had different stylists and I wasn't very impressed. I felt very rushed as if I was at Great Clips or something. Then I found Kim. She did an excellent job cutting my hair and I have gone to her for over 5 years now. The things I appreciate about Coles is that Kim's prices, while they have gone up during that time, they did not skyrocket like I have experienced at other salons. They went up at a reasonable rate and that is why I still go there. Kim does a great job!
