Jan is a licensed day care provider who has been doing child care for many years. She is a committed Christian, for those of you looking specifically for a Christian provider. I have 3 children and she has watched them since my oldest was a year old (which has now been 6 1/2 years). She is absolutely wonderful! We had one other child care provider and interviewed many others before finding her. I have referred MANY of my friends to her. She recently moved to Chaska from Richfield. My kids LOVE her, and she loves them! I consider her a close friend as well. I highly recommend her if you are looking for affordable, high quality, in-home child care!

This is a large antique shop right off of 35W and Hwy 13. Although convenient to the freeway, you have to wind around on frontage roads to actually get to the place. I was expecting more than I got when visiting there. It is large, lots of individual spaces filled with your typical antiques. I didn't find anything spectacular about the place, and it certainly doesn't have the ambiance of a quaint little antique shop in a cute town somewhere. So depending on what you are looking for, you might find it. But if you are like me and you like the whole experience of going to an antique shop, I would skip this place and go to Stillwater or Red Wing.

Becker furniture world is just that. It is a huge world of furniture! The place is gigantic and they have a clearance place as well. They have coffee shops and places to rest, which sounds crazy, but they are necessary. If you don't know what you want, you will definitely get LOTS of ideas and options. It can be overwhelming and the customer service is so-so. It is a fun day trip as it is quite a drive from the southern suburbs anyway.

This is more than a gardening store, it is for more extensive landscaping as well. The quality is top notch and their service is great!

Lyndale Garden center is a medium-sized garden center with a decent variety of items and plants. They usually have coupons, so don't pay regular price. Their quality is decent, plants are not as good as Bachman's, but definitely cheaper. My favorite item from there has been their strawberry plants, which have done amazingly well. They have been around for awhile and they are a decent place to shop for your gardening needs.

The bookstore has a wonderful selection and is very attractive for the kids. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to help you find exactly what you are looking for. Camp Snoopy is located right smack in the middle of the Mall of America. They offer lots of kids rides as well as adult rides. (Caution: beware of Timberland Twister!) That ride is crazy! Besides that, there is a nice variety of rides. You can purchase a points pass (coupon in the Entertainment book) and those are good for a year. These are good if you have small kids who will only go on a couple rides each time. Otherwise they also have unlimited ride wristbands which are quite pricey. You can usually find discounts on these. They also have annual passes available for about 90.00 a person. This is a fun place to come!

Everything you ever wanted in a mall! This place is huge! (Although don't be discouraged, once you get it down, you can navigate quickly if necessary). This is a great place to be able to take your kids shopping and bribe them to behave. When we go, we go to my stores first, with the understanding that if they are good, we will ride on a few rides at Camp Snoopy, or stop off at Legoland and play. There are other things for the kids to do such as Underwater adventures and the new dinosaur trail thing. These both cost quite a bit for a quick trip. The mall sponsors Toddler Tuesdays where they have special events geared towards toddlers such as having a specific character (like spiderman) for the kids to meet. They also offer kids eat free at some restaurants and discounted 3 hour wristbands for camp snoopy. There is tons of selection at this mall!

If you are looking for a wide variety of fish, or accessories, they will have them. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They are located in Richfield on 66th street. Again, not much to look at from the outside, but worth going to!

My husband surprised me for my birthday and took me here for a massage and a manicure. The ambiance is wonderful! They have a great set up wtih a steam shower and changing rooms to put on a robe. My massage was not very good. The therapist was not smooth with transitions between areas and it was very disappointing. I was not able to relax very well and it was probably the worst massage I have had (including at schools). The manicure was good and the manicurist was friendly. I would go back, but not for a massage. The pedicure area looked great.
