We spent an entire morning one Sunday trying to come up with a place to bring our 10 month old daughter for breakfast. Most restaurants were way to busy for us to wait with a hungry baby for a table. So we decided to try brueggers. It was wonderful, they have great highchairs, the tables are comfy yet the atmosphere is so relaxed! We had such a nice breakfast. They have a nice selection of juices and milks in a cooler which make it easy to find something suitable for the baby to drink. We had a great breakfast and no worries about causing a big disturbance!

Recently hennepin counties bars and restaurant's were forced to go smoke free. As a mother this is the greatest thing that has happened. Since my daughter was born we have had to skip out on many of our old time favorite restaurant's due to them being bars. I love the fact that I can go to champps with my daughter, they have a fun atmosphere, a great children's menu. Plus my husband and I are able to enjoy a cocktail and watch several sporting events also. We have trained our daughter to love sports as much as we do. So at 1 year old, she enjoys champps as much as we do!

Lunds market gives you a small specialty market feel, but with the products and prices found in larger chain stores. We spend alot of time experiencing local grocery stores. We truly enjoy lunds more than any of the other stores, They not only have excellent produce and meats but they have a large natural foods section and they have alot of natural health and beauty aids. I purchase alot of Berts Bees items and Lunds carries this line and it is beautiful. I am happy with the products I purchase at lunds, it is also more pleasant and relaxing than most grocery stores! This is very important!

This is an excellent place to feed your family. Mpls/St.Paul magazine named Famous Dave's #1 place to eat out with kids and I agree! We have taken our young daughter here many times in her short life. She loves eating there, she can be noisy, eat lots of food and have a great time! We find that this is a reasonable place to eat with great food, good prices, and family friendly all around. This is an excellent place to let our hair down and have a good time as a family.

I'm usually not a big fan of ribs but I cannot resist Ted Cook's! They offer 3 choices of sauces and if you like a kick to your bbq sauce you gotta try the hot. wooweee! For those that prefer a tamer sauce they have a mild form. To accompany their wonderful ribs they serve jojo's perfectly sliced and cooked just right! If your a rib lover or not you gotta drop in a pick up some Ted Cook's ribs.

Ok... I agree.. the food at Solera is exotic but really not my choice for a restaurant.
First, the menu is filled with foods with foreign names. So you have to ask for help, and sometimes I just do not want to ask.
Next, everything is appetizer size.. so you only get a couple of what your ordered - which can be hard to split between three people.
Last, the price. Not really worth the high prices to get such a small meal.

It's a fun place to hang out in Uptown, and offers patio seating, which makes the margarita-sipping all the more fun for people watching.

My husband and I had been to the Grand Cafe several times before and
we enjoyed our experiences there. So, when our family was in town we
thought it would be a great place to bring them. We made reservations
on-line and when we arrived at the restaurant and looked at the menu,
some of us decided it was a little exotic for their tastes. Plus, the entree
choices were few. We decided that we were going to just have starters
and when I informed our waiter of this he proceeded to grant us with
the most unpleasant dining experience we have had yet. The
rudeness was unbearable. We will never go back!

Matts Bar is your "bar next door". It is located in South Minneapolis. Yeah, the decor needed to be updated in the 70's..but hey, they offer the famous "Juicy Lucy" hamburger. This is the hamburger that has melted cheese inside. If you don't wait for 3-5 minutes upon getting the burger, you WILL burn the roof of your mouth. The wait is worth it; it's a greasy treat. Don't make the mistake of asking for pickles or tomatoes..they don't have 'em. It's a no frills bar, but the burger and fries are good.

one of the best breakfast places in minneapolis -- where else can you get breakfast served to you in pajamas? it's as close as you get to breakfast in bed. hell's kitchen has great homemake relishes, jams, salsas, etc that they provide on each table. strong, slightly bitter coffee for you coffee-drinkers. long, long waits on the weekend, but the best thing is that they actually take reservations! a fun place to take out-of-towners for a cool breakfast experience. fast service. the bad news: no parking around there, and you have to pay to park in the lot next door!
