I love people watching here and it's as close as you'll get to a cafe in the French countryside in SF. Everything I've ever tried, including the financiers, canelles, tarte tatins, macarons, etc., etc., is great. However, I actually think the stuff is fresher at Boulange's sibling, Bay Bread off of Fillmore. And beware...if you go at the end of the day, many of the great selections are sold out.
