Great place for dates or a night out with the girls! Very quaint and peaceful and the food is delicious! I highly suggest their salmon...best salmon I've ever had! And their wine selection is very good!

The food here is excellent. I recommend the ahi tuna starter. The wild mushroom bisque they offered before the meal and the pastry tray they offered after the meal were excellent too. I ate at One Market on the same trip and while the food there was very good, Gary Danko was much better. I think it deserves more than one Michelin star.
Pros: Excellent food

We went here on a Thursday night around 9:30pm, which is half price Sangria night, FYI. Our waiter, Morty, chose some great options! We recommend the Fondue!!! The olives are mild but delicious. We also had the Sea Bass, Short Ribs and Sliders, all which were delicious, but the Sea Bass was our favorite. All the portions were great size and we were even too stuffed for dessert. I could see how it would be crowed and too noisy on the weekends, but the food definitely makes this place worth visiting. We will be back. PS? watch out for the fondue gas.
Pros: Great food, great portions, Sangria on Thursday
Cons: Parking, valet is is expensive

I was fortunate enough as tourist, to be invited to dinner at Delfina by a dear friend who lives in the SanFrancisco area. It was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The service was top notch, the food exquisite as was the wine list. The eclectic ambience made it the perfect dining experience.

Knock on wood I've been almost a dozen times and have yet to have a bad experience. They make it look so easy! My only complaint is that it is a little loud inside.

I love little mom and pop restaurants, and this little gem is in that category of the few still out there in the city.
From the cute waiters, to the old-world decor, and ofcourse the delicious food, this little Trattoria is still run by the "Family". The owner is back there tossing Pizzas, and the wife is in the kitchen creating homestyle southern Italian cooking at its best. Meanwhile, the son is running the dining room with his very good looking and charming wait staff. I love this place!
Pros: Great food and service
Cons: ---

The appetizers and desserts were the best parts of our meal! The figs were perfectly cooked and the pepper stuffed with crab meat was wonderful - not too much crab but still meaty. For dessert we had the vanilla creme brulee - wow! I would consider skipping the entree next time! Average pasta but the lamb chops were savory and well-cooked. Good (and well-priced) wines and attentive service. Nice clean bathroom (very important!). I loved the interior - charming but not cheesy. Very french but not pretentious. I'm definitely returning.
Pros: Great service, delicious food, wonderful ambience, fairly easy parking
Cons: crowded on the weekends

This is what comes to mind when you think of a world-class dining experience.
I went here for drinks and dessert the other night and everything was fantastic. It's certainly a 'culinary experience'. The food is highly conceptual and experimental but executed well. By conceptual, I mean lots of foams, textures, presentation, and interesting flavor combinations (think basil sorbet).
The space blends industrial features with a streamlined 50's-inspired aesthetic. Prices are moderate to high but totally worth it. This place is pretty classy but not intimidating or rude as some fine dining can be. Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful even though we were just having dessert.
Definitely worth checking out!
They also have a cafe that's open during the day next door. It's kind of equidistant from Embarcadero and Montgomery BART stations.

We finally tried this restaurant this past weekend, and were glad we did. The space is really beautiful, and the food was amazing. We sat upstairs, which is very nice, as it's like a little mini lounge in itself. We started off with the mac and cheese, which is some of the best I've had. For entrees, I had the halibut, and my husband had the rib eye, both of which were delicious! We caught a glimpse of the mini burgers and the pizza at another table, so we'll definitely be back to try those as well! Definitely go to this oasis in the Haight.
Pros: Food, Service, Ambiance
Cons: None

That's right, enjoy eating in this authentic Italian restaurant located in the Mission on 16th street.
Enjoy a glass of vino as you peruse your menu complete with a variety of delicious choices ranging of antipasta.
Choose your main dish known as primi from a wide range of pastas like penne, rigatoni, lasagna, and fettucini.
The portions are typical for a true Italian dinner, so if you're accustomed to over-sized portions Americans are notorious for, you may need to consider ordering a side dish secondi like prosciutto, carpacchio, or mixed vegetables. Be sure to ask your server if any pommes frittes (Italian version of French Fries) are available. Yes, I said French Fries, but these are much healthier and no doubt tastier than anything you've had at a drive-thru.
I doubt you'll miss the Italian accents from the staff since it seems like all of them, at least when I've been there, are Italian immigrants. They're hip, young, and dedicated to creating the right balance of an Italian atmosphere suitable for a business dinner meeting, a night out with friends, or that special night with that romantic someone. They're proud of their Italian cuisine and culture and they enjoy sharing it with their diners.
End the night with gelato for desert along with some gourmet Ilily espresso. Or you may want to try the desert liquor, Lemoncello. This is especially helpful in digesting those pasta carbs.
Finally, something that little something that sets Il Cantuccio apart from anywhere I've ever been is your bill is accompanied by a small cup of Gummi Bears that just may hit the spot if you don't have room for desert.
I hope you find my review helpful and thanks for reading! Buon Appetito!
