We love Bicks 10/23/2006

Everyone I have taken to Bicks loves the place. We even tried talking the owners into opening a store in Edmonds because we love it so much. If you like spice (and we do) start with the Firestarter- flat bread with a goat cheese that has a lot of herbs, sea salt, grilled habeneros, jalapenos and lime. You build it yourself so if you can't handle the heat you can make one that is just made with goat cheese. The food is excellent, I have never had a bad meal here. Ever. The other reviews are correct, it does get crowded but it is well worth the wait. Parking can be a bit of a hassle but that comes with living in Seattle. Great staff, everybody who works there raves about the owners and it is much like a family. It is funny that anyone that I talk to about Bicks that has already been there starts raving about the place. I think that says it all. more

Neighborhood Favorite 8/19/2005

Bick's is located in the Greenwood neighborhood. This a great, family-friendly spot. The food is great. The atmosphere if fun, casual and laid back. It's a neighborhood favorite and gets packed quickly. You should be able to get in before 6 with no problems. They don't accept reservations. And the parking lot consists of about 5 spots. But street parking is easy. Try the burger. It's solid as is the salad with crispy onion rings. Yum. more

Warm environment with tasty food 7/15/2005

On a cold rainy night, have a cozy dinner at Bick's. The food is good, the warm yellow walls and the fireplace make you feel warm and the service is unpretentious and friendly. I've enjoyed the vegetarian options and for a place that is pretty meat-centric, the veggie options are well thought out and flavorful. more

Great neighborhood joint 7/11/2005

This is the quintessential neighborhood bar/restaurant for those living in North Seattle (Broadview area). Housed in a house...this is a great spot for drink/apps with friends but a little on the pricey side, or maybe it was the number of martinis we had? They specialize in spicy foods, and the menu is pretty diverse, and ever-changing. The fry bread is a great companion for your drink at the bar. For an added bonus, be sure to stop by on a warm evening and dine on their outdoor deck, which fills up quickly. more

Versatile American Restaurant 4/30/2005

When you don't know what you want to eat, this is the place to go. Good fusion of cuisine to choose from and great appetizers. One time 4 of us ordered each appetizers and share them as dinner and it was surprisingly very satisfying. My favorite entry is risotto and grilled half roman lettuce caeser salad. The bar is nothing special but the have 40 microbrews and unique aperitif (burning hot vocka... forgot what it was) and cocktails. more
