After assuring us that she ?definitely feels something in there? the vet convinced us that surgery was necessary to remove a splinter from my border collie?s paw. Then $600, and 1 butchered paw later; she tells us there was nothing in her paw. Now my dog?s foot is open to infection, and we have to wrestler her down 4 times a day to get her to take a pill (she hates pills). All for nothing. \r
I understand that a misdiagnosis is possible, but the way it was presented to us was ?I definitely feel something in there, and we need to go get it.? But there was nothing in there.\r
I can?t help but feel we were intentionally duped out of $600, without regard for our dog well-being. \r
Beware.
