Review content:
My daughter and I had dinner on a recent Tuesday evening. 7:30 reservation. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but sitting at the bar surveying the lively crowd, we hardly noticed. The food was excellent. My spaghetti puttanesca was well seasoned, making an old favorite seem new. Her pasta special (penne with tomatoes and mozarella) was simple but delicious. Even the before-dinner breads were great; crunchy crusts, flavorful. The house chianti was just the right note: robust but not raw. Service was attentive but unobtrusive. The hostess/owner was gracious and welcoming. \r
This is my first posting to CitySearch. I'm from the Pacific Northwest, used to good service.
Pros: Food, service, atmosphere
Cons: Can be crowded and patrons like to linger - be patient, it's worth it
