Review content:
Like the other reviews of this place, i agree that it's unpretentious, laid back, cozy, etc. Local 138 is not the place to go if you are into ""face-time."" Don't expect a rowdy crowd.
It is, however, a great place to go for a drink. Nice beer selection, with some of your usual english ales, all of which taste fresh, and not like the stale stuff which is typical of many bars in ny.
For most people, this is a good place to spend the early evening on weekend nights, or go after work, to get away and have a drink. A good date place if feel like talking to the person your with.
Pros: laid back, quiet
