This is one of my granddaddy's favorite places so we go here a lot. It's a real history place. The most important thing here is the painting of the Battle of Atlanta. It was painted in 1886 and might be the largest painting in the world. There is also a big old Civil War train called the Texas. There's also a lot of old weapons, maps and pictures. It's a good place to learn about the Civil War.

Since the Children's Arts Museum is close to our house, we get to go there a lot. I'm really glad about that. One of the first things you notice when you go in is the purple-and-white checkerboard floor. It's really cool looking. There is lots of stuff to do here. You can make clay things in a ceramic studio, put on shows in the puppet theater, lots of hands-on exhibitions and kaleidoscopes. My granny really likes kaleidoscopes. Even the gift shop is cool - it has the back of a real school bus and a toy giraffe that is as big as a real one.
