Miracle Worker 10/31/2011

Dr. Bunke saved my son's thumb, after we were told by another highly recommended hand surgeon that the thumb joint would have to be fused. We're so glad we went for a third opinion and found Dr. Bunke. I can not imagine a more caring and experienced surgeon. We both thoroughly enjoyed our visits with him. This is coming from someone who does not like doctor visits! I don't believe I've ever felt better taken care of. My son's thumb is healing well. I recommend Dr. Bunke very highly. He's an innovator in his field, as was his father. He's the best of the best. He's a true surgical miracle worker! more

Condescending Bad Doctor 9/6/2011

Dr Bunke is condescending, impatient, and incompetent. He will rush you out the door. He does not listen to what you have to say and acts like he's the most important person in the world. He has a horrible attitude. I do not recommend any one going to see him. more

Strongly recommend The Buncke Clinic! 11/17/2009

The expert knowledge and skill Dr. Buncke and his team of surgeons have, is impeccable and incomparable to surgeons found in San Francisco or even beyond. They are so highly trained and professional but are also extremely genuine and kind. I highly recommend all of the surgeons at the Plastic Surgery Institute and The Buncke Clinic. Caring Surgeon 10/28/2009

Dear Dr. Buncke,\r I can't thank you enough for the time, effort and care you put into my particular case. I had spent the last year doing extensive research in hopes of finding a surgeon I felt comfortable with. Best Experience I Have had 10/28/2009

One of the best decisions I made last year was to go see Dr. Buncke. I had a rapidly growing benign cyst on my neck. I consulted with three other plastic surgeons who said I would have at least a 1 1/2 to 2 inch scar as the result of removing the cyst. Dr. Buncke's method of removal left me with just a dot of a scar six months after surgery. Dr. Buncke, his fellow doctors, and staff were professional, efficient, and very friendly. A Wonderful and Caring Doctor 4/30/2009

Dr. Buncke is not only the BEST in his field, he is also super caring and continues to work with patients to help them become healthy. I have been a patient of his for over 6 years and he continues to look for solutions to my complex wrist issues. There is no doctor that I trust more.
