Every positive review on this site is so obviously written by an employee. A friend of mine, recently contacted Table for Six and he asked them what was up with them going out of business. The lying salescheat actually said, they never shut down and their offices were always open. It's a sack of sh!t. I was one of their many clients, who was sent an e-mail saying they temporarily were closing and during this period the phones weren't answered, and no dinners were set up. I actually wouldn't even be upset if they truely took that month to reorganize themselves and get their act together. However, no such luck. I honestly believe things are worse than ever. Meeting a perfect partner could never have been easier! For over a year, I had been visiting bars and pubs in a hope to get a nice partner. While I did have some short-term relationships, none of them could mature. Tired by all this experimentation, I decided to take the help of experts. This is when I came across this club. After paying a handsome fee, I registered myself and provided all the necessary information to the relationship experts. After some days, I got a call from the company for a dinner. Sure I went and believe me, this was the best decision of my life. I was part of a group that shared similar interests and very soon felt comfortable. Between drinks and dinner, I soon clicked with this sensible-looking lady, who seemed to be pretty interested in my conversation. We decided to meet more often and within a few months we have come very close to each other. Right now, no one understands me better than she does. Incredible, isn’t it!  This club has filled a void in my life and has been intrinsic getting all this happiness that I now experience. I am really glad I decided to go for the services provided by the company. Let me tell you, if you dream for the perfect partner you should go ahead for this club. Their prompt and efficient services are surely doing to please you and give you a positive and healthy experience. With so many match-making services trying to grab your attention, it seems really difficult to figure out the best one for you. However, I am really glad that I did not make a mistake. I came to know about this club through a friend of mine. She has been dating a guy who she met at this club and things have been going really great for them! So I decided, why not try it out for myself! Although it is true that the fee is not that low, but you see, every good thing comes for a price. So I joined this club and gave them all the relevant details. Within a short period of time, I was invited to one of the best dinners that I had experienced. Including me there were six people, three ladies and three gentlemen, who were introduced to each other by the hosts from this club. During the dinner we spoke amongst ourselves and had fun sharing stories and experiences. By the time the dinner had come to an end, I knew what I wanted. This guy and I shared really common interests and both of us seemed keen to meet each other again.  So we met again and again and the chemistry seemed getting better each time we met. It’s been three months since I have been going around with this guy, all thanks to the club. My advice to all singles is that if you want to meet the dream partner of your life, do not hesitate about spending money. After all, it is a matter of all your life! Great dinners! As I reflect on some of my T46 activities and past experiences, I can see how I havent allowed my personality / qualities to come through. This last dinner gave me a LOT to think about by way of my communication in social settings. In all seriousness, this is a great service. I learned SO much about dating from being a member. I'm writing this review because I met a great guy through Table for Six, someone I never would have met otherwise. I joined Table for Six after exhausting other options for finding single men -- none of my couples friends knew any available men, and I wasn't meeting people at work or through any of my activities. I was tired of the Internet thing and wanted to meet people in person rather than exchanging endless e-mails only to find out we had no chemistry after meeting. So, Table for Six was a perfect solution for me. Yes, it's expensive, but I looked at it like a gym membership -- I was paying them for something I didn't have access to on my own. I went out on dinners about once a month (it's true that if you are a man you can go out a lot more often -- multiple times a week if you want). I met a lot of really nice people and had a few second dates. Since I hadn't dated much recently, the dinners were a good way to get back into practice flirting a bit. After a while the staff really had a sense of who my type was and there was at least one person like this at my tables. At that point, it was just a matter of time for me to meet someone where the attraction was mutual. The guy I met is smart, successful, interesting, attractive, not afraid of commitment, etc We've been together for almost 9 months and I'm so glad to be done with dating. I recommended this service to a friend of mine shortly after I joined. She has told me that they are now calling her relentlessly to get her to join. Meanwhile, they don't have nearly enough men to fulfill their obligations to their current women. It's painfully obvious that they didn't "restructure" as they claim. I was told that the reason I'm not being set up on 1 to 1 dates, is because they don't have any professional, 30-38 years old, lives in the city, available to date men right now. It's funny because they are telling my girlfriend they have thousands of eligible men to meet her. She has the same basic criteria as I do. I want a refund from T46. I know so many of you out there are unhappy with your experiences with T46; false promises, inability to listen, immature staff, and overpriced events. This service is a SCAM. Everything that was told to me when I signed up with the sales person was a lie, that I could have dinners, events and matches every month, SEVERAL times a month is FALSE. . If you are a women dont bother joining. There are no men and the ones that are there have been in the club forever. I would not recommend this to anyone, you are better off joining match or eharmony. As the best friend of a Table For Six VICTIM, I decided to do some armchair P.I. work: I Googled these scammers and got the SF office ph #. I called and got a VM message, then couldn't leave a message because the box was full (shocker!). Since I'm all too familiar with the in's& out's of navigating VM systems I decided to "reach another mailbox" by punching in a last name: PAIVA to be exact! And guess what? The VM system responded "Julie Paiva" (the founder of this terrible business) and put me through to the extension. The voice on the other end answered: "Hello...this is Julie". AWESOME! The first words out of my mouth were "is this Table for SIX?", and she said, "...uh, just one moment". A 30-sec pause and then another "Julie" (not sure if was still her) came on the line. I flat out asked, "did TFS go bankrupt?", and "Julie" said, "oh no, no ,no -- we've just completed a restructuring", and "we sent out emails 2 wks ago to your member log-in page", and "actually TODAY 1/30/09 we're emailing everyone to say THANKS for your patience", and "we're giving ALL MEMBERS AN ADDITIONAL 3 MO's FREE", and then some other carefully crafted-by-her-PR-people one-liners!!! If you were scammed by these awful people, call the SAN FRAN OFFICE PH # 415-782-0680, GET THE VOICEMAIL SYSTEM, AND DIAL-BY-NAME SPELLING OUT P-A-I-V-A...and you'll get her extension. See if she tells you the same story as she did me! I think it's absolutely unthinkable to run a business the way they did - & possibly are still operational - by charging tons-o-$$$, giving NO services, and fixing people up with the exact opposite of what the customers requested. They lie about where the events, the get-togethers are an additional cost (on top of the $3K + member fee), and the alledged matchmakers are nothing but telemarketers paid to chat you up. TABLE FOR SIX IS A BIG SCAM, THEY LIE LIE LIE. I PAID $2400 FOR WHAT? NOTHING THERE STAFF WAS TERRIBLE, THEY NEVER RETURN CALLS OR EMAIL, THEY PROMISED ME THAT I COULD DINE UP TO 4 NIGHTS A WEEK, I HAD 2 DINNERS IN 4 MONTHS, ALL I GOT WAS REGRET MAIL FROM THEM, THEY HAD NO ONE TO SET ME UP WITH, WHEN I JOINED THEY SAID IF I WAS NOT HAPPY I COULD GET A FULL REFUND, YEAH RIGHT, THEY SCAMMED ME. I am a member of this so-called club, This is almost a SCAM, They charge thousands of dollars to the members, ask them to sign a contract and the service is bad. The matchmaker are useless and make fun of their customers after parties. Most of their claims of services are incorrect. I am planning to go to court them. If you want to throw your few thousand in a ditch , this is the place. Most of their member women are OLD of 45-55 years old and fat and ugly at that. The match-maker do nothing during any sessions, dont try to break ice. dont introduce people. For every event they charge money, some like 100s of dollars. This is the worst money I ever spent. I think we should all go to court for these crooks to get our money back. lets all organize, and file a suit against these corrupt ppl. If Table for Six has in fact gone closed it's doors, immediately call your credit card company and cancel the charge, even if it has been 6 months. The credit card company should prorate you the amount you lost based on your membership with Table for Six. They will get their money from the credit card processor that Table for Six used, who will then try to get paid through the bankruptcy settlement. However, since a business like this has few assets and I am quite sure it was protected with an incorporation veil, my guess is the credit card processor will get very little money back even as Julia Paiva goes on living in her expensive house in Pac Heights that her wealthy lawyer husband bought her. Now, if you bought a membership in the last few days and you can show that Table for Six knew they were going to close their doors, then that is classified as fraud. You might consider contacting the Attorney General's office. Paiva and Table For Six has had difficulty with the law before, specifically when she settled with the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. She settled with them a few years ago for not refunding people's money who chose to enact the 3-day right to cancel, which is required in California for dating business contracts. I hope the owner, Julia Pavia gets put in jail. She should have to sell her Pac Heights home and refund everyone. She's just as big of a liar as Bernie Madoff. Table For Six (T46) is neither an adventure activity service nor a matchmaking service. They are however good at fast-talking and giving glossy responses. As a Sacramento member I have attended events in Sacto and the Bay area. I wish I had read the reviews before I signed the contract with T46 in 07/2007. The ad quoted below states that t46 approach is unique and takes the fear out of first dates. I will share the facts of what of they do. They are unique but the fear factor is amplified by T46s' unique approach. **"Table For Six Sacramento-www.tableforsix Our Approach Is Unique, and Takes Much of the Fear Out of First Dates" T46 states in the contract ,"Therefore, our policy is that a refund will be available only if a Member has attended six (6) "Just for Two" introductions and fifteen (15) dinners or other events" However, the scheduling of the dinners and the Just for Two (J4U) connections are set-up by T46 employees and it is T46 that has control over your (the client) attendance. I have one J4U arrangement in 18 months and it was the worst blind date set-ups I have ever had. A T46 employee (who by the way has no experience in or any clue of analyzing people) will call you and give you the name of the person and the time you are to meet at a pre-selected restaurant. Unless you ask you will be given no other information on your potential match, nor even a description. Absolutely nothing. I do believe this is called a blind and blind-folded/sided date. A T46 employee will not meet you there to introduce you to each other. T46 will use your not contacting them frequently for a J4U match as a defense that they were unable to meet the J4U requirement. Do not fall for it. If you used T46 and they failed you then file a complaint. For others- Document, document. It is true that many men get to join for free or at a discount. T46 give various price quotes. I paid $1,995 for two years with a one year extended membership. Pros: None Cons: Service is not there. more

Year 2008 was a bad investment year for me and most others but I have to admit that T46 was the worst invenstment. I assumed that there was "safety in numbers" and group dynamics would be interesting. I was wrong. The chemistry was horrible each time with all the vying for attention. It was difficult to have any kind of a meaningful conversation with anyone. It's a very superficial way to get acquainted. When I gave feedback to the staff I was met with surly insults. There are no guarantees in life and none here either. more

I was really surprised to read some of the negative comments people have made about Table for Six. I've been a member for about two months and although it's a bit expensive, I have to say it's the best money I've ever spent to meet quality people in a fun, well organized and safe environment. I'm regularly called to join a table and the people I have met, both men and women have been first class professionals. Dinner conversation is intelligent, amusing and everyone is included. The coordinators are efficient and they do their very best to make sure everyone is comfortable. I've made some wonderderful friends and we've set up our own "follow up" dinners. And I've dated a couple of very nice men so far. I haven't had the time to join any of the activities so far because I've been so busy with the dinners but TF6 has kept me entertained every week for the last two months. And no, ladies and gentlemen, I am not employed by TF6 and they didn't ask me to write this. This really is a great way to meet quality people. I can't say enough good things. It is absolutely amazing the wild extremes in the "reviews" posted here and in other places. I'm a single man living in San Francisco and a member of Table for Six since Fefuray of '08. So it's been nearly a year into the two year membership. I've worked with the same great service personnel the entire time in three locations.. The service has been friendly, pretty efficient and the staff I got to know at events are fun and versatile. I can't remeber what exactly was promised me, but the contract lists out the kinds and number of events or dinners and dates I'd get. I'm pretty pleased with the experience because I 'm meeting some very interesting, suprising people.That's striking to me and pretty much level one of the experience because I don't talk to 95% of the people in my tennis club and no one at my gym. The dinners I've gone to are unique experiences. I really wanted to have fun, be outgoing and contribute without taking over. But I didn't go with my checklist of: tall blonde with grad school, consulting career, tennis player, wine lover, mixed martial arts afficionada.no (just tall blonde wine lover) ..This, especially after the first dinner where I was seated and introduced to a woman who after three minutes had determined that I had not made her short list for the evening. Was I too short, my clothes not expensive enough, too ethnic,what? I certainly felt that any more time spent on me was a waste of her time.I had effectively been eliminated. I was transparent She nearly excluded herself from any conversation with me and nearly the rest of the group which had a pretty good time nevertheless. After that first dinner group I continued to follow my plan. Table for Six is a huge disappointment for single attractive men and women looking for a partner. If you are a single person and have no social life, this may be OK for you; but, if you join looking for someone special this is not the place. Not only is it expensive $2499!!! But the service is OK as long as you are happy, once you are not happy they kind of turn mean. I paid the money and definitely DID NOT get what I was promised. I just feel sick and very disappointed that I was gulable enough to sign up for this. There are more women then men and I would just stay away and try more traditional means - like coffee shops, etc. to meet people. If T46 contacts you....
