Hole in the wall but good noodles 12/23/2011

Good noodles and dumplings in Chinatown. Recommend trying the cold chicken sesame and hot pork dumplings. Come for the food and prices. Staff is friendly. more

Best Beef Noodles in the World 5/8/2009

I've tried beef noodle soup around the world, in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai and other places and nothing compares to this little soup noodle shop in Seattle Chinatown. Their dumplings are also to die for. more

Beef noodle soup 5/8/2009

After being recommended, we came by. It was hard to spot, since it's a really tiny store front. Family run style restaurant, casual. From the look of it, they make all of their noodles, dumplings and pot stickers. Oh I almost forgot, their spring onion cake! Beef noodle is yummy! The szechuan noodle is really spicy, I love it, but if you are not great with spice, I'd avoid ordering that one. This is the best beef noodle soup I've had for a while. Their pot sticker is very interesting shaped, but delicious. Average price per dish is $6 which is very reasonable. more

Yummy yummy dumplings @ Szechuan Noodle Bowl! 5/20/2007

I love the dumplings in hot and spicy sauce here! If the dumplings you want don't say they come in hot and spicy sauce, ask for it, it's not too hot. The pickled bamboo shoots are fun to nibble on as an appetizer as well as the onion cakes. The delicate wonton soup is always a great choice. Great, inexpensive food. more

Sceshwan Noodle Bowl 6/26/2006

This is a tiny place with the most amazing noodles. All of the dumplings and noodles are fresh. They make incredible potstickers (that look like little snakes) and what we call potstickers are their dumplings. All of the soups with noodles are great and they have vegetarian options as well. Get there early or late for lunch if you don't want to wait. They are really friendly and have great service. more

For a happy stomach, go to Szechuan Noodle Bowl 12/30/2005

One of Seattle's best under $10 restaurants is Szechuan Noodle Bowl in Chinatown. Every afternoon, the owners and staff make fresh pork/cabbage and spinach/tofu dumplings. The dumplings are steamed rather than fried and are served with a separate dipping sauce or served in a hot and spicy sauce. The latter dish: #10 Hot and Spicy Vegetarian Dumplings is my bowl of choice. For those who like noodles with meat, try the Beef Noodle Soup. It is served piping hot with thick noodles, clean bok choy*, and well-stewed beef. If you're with friends or are really hungry, or both, order the Green Onion Pancakes appetizer. Szechuan Noodle Bowl has less than a dozen tables and they only accept cash, but they are as fresh as any dumpling house in Flushing, NY or even Hong Kong. (* Other places serve bok choy with soil and insects.) more

Delicious soups, delicious wontons and other starters. Cheap, but like many ID shops they only take cash. more

Best Noodles in Seattle 8/17/2005

This is the perfect place to sample fresh handmade Chinese noodle dishes in the International district. The restaurant is small and the service is friendly and personal. I recommend this restaurant for anytime, but I especially like it for days when I am craving comfort food. All the patrons seem to become regulars. On any given night, you will see people cutting and stuffing won tons in a corner of the dining room, which I find fascinating to watch. This is not run-of-the-mill Americanized Chinese food. Every menu item is excellent, but there are a few outstanding ones that deserve special mention. You have to try the green onion pancake as an appetizer, and the chicken soup is awesome. For vegetarians, the hot and spicy tofu and spinach noodles are a must. more
