Wow! This is new Asian Bistro that we went to last night. I was very impressed. It was Wild Ginger without all the fuss and parking craziness. It was better because it is new and they are trying a bit harder. Every dish that we ordered was great: Green Papaya and beef salad was perfectly crunchy and tangy and fresh tasting. The curry duck was exotic and rich and the crab with glass noodles was perfectly silky and smokey - YUM!
I had a special that was seafood curry that wasn't drowning in sauce but was spicy and full of big prawns and crabmeat and fishballs, etc.
They have everything from Vietnamese Bun to Beef La Loc to Coconut Shrimp.
Located in South Chinatown it is easy to park but still within walking distance to the rest of the fun!
Try it out!

If you don't want to deal with ebay - take your clothes to Consignment Gulch in Madison Valley. Where MLK meets Madison there are a few consignments stores worth mentioning. Fury has been there for about 20 years as has Gentleman's Consignment across the street. There is also the Pregnant Pause up the block for maternity clothes consignment.
Fury sells alot of nice clothing from women in Madison Park and the rest of the city - and I think that the longevity of their business speaks volumes about their practices. You will lose a larger percentage of your clothing than you would on ebay and they only take clothes that are in-season but I think it is worth it.

This is a tiny place with the most amazing noodles. All of the dumplings and noodles are fresh. They make incredible potstickers (that look like little snakes) and what we call potstickers are their dumplings.
All of the soups with noodles are great and they have vegetarian options as well.
Get there early or late for lunch if you don't want to wait. They are really friendly and have great service.

I just got a keyless entry put in my 1990 Volvo and it was totally worth it and I had a great experience with the Car Toys on Aurora.
I assume that they can fix your broken one.

If you want the perfect beautiful suit sold by people who know how to fit it and what to wear it with...go to Marios on 6th downtown. Mario's has been a downtown fixture for many years (I think it is a Portland Based co. with store is Seattle and Portland only).
They have suits that are more current as well as suits that are more traditional. They carry Armani, Hugo Boss, Prada and Brioni to name a few. They also have a great selection of ties there and a gorgeous selection of dresses (in case you need one for all of the other occaisions that surround a wedding!)
I prefer a smaller store where you get more personal service!
Ask for Terry and you will get great service.

How no one has heard of this is a surprise BUT it is hidden down a short 10 foot hallway in the market. THIS IS REAL FROZEN YOGURT - not TCBY but refreshing and tangy homemade kind that is like nothing else. They have 2 or 3 softserve per day and a case with ice cream and other flavors of yogurt. SAVE YOUR GAS and go to the Pike Place Market instead of SeaTac or Lynwood! You can even take the bus or ride your bike.
Upon entering the market at the main entrance turn right onto the main drag and take your FIRST right into a little hallway at the asian goods stand. The Shy Giant is 10 steps away. If you get to Frank's Produce or Three Girls Bakery, you've gone too far.

I just threw a birthday party for my father in law at the Pratt Fine Arts Institute. All of the attendees (60 guests) were encouraged to make glass art - fusing glass, blowing glass and glass bead-making. There were instructors on-hand who were great and guests now have a unique piece of art that they made. The professional glass blowers started off the evening with the birthday boy blowing huge glass bowl that he helped design. We turned the sculpture studio into a buffet room, hired a band and had a great time. There was food (outside caterer) and drinks and art and birthday cake. Everyone loved it.
Anyway, if you are looking for a totally unique party...call up Pratt...be one of the first to have this new kind of party. Also, feel free to contact me with questions, etc
