I do like a tan from time to time, but I'm not a sun worshiper. Bronze bar is the answer for me. I go only a few times a year for vacations or special occasions, and always love the results. I highly recommend the airbrushing you get here over any booth spray tan. A bit more money than the booths but a much better application! The staff is always friendly and professional.
Scrub like crazy first, lotion up, and wear loose clothes home and you'll be tan a good week.

The pickled bamboo shoots are fun to nibble on as an appetizer as well as the onion cakes. The delicate wonton soup is always a great choice. Great, inexpensive food.

I do love hats. Thinking I could be in the market for a new summer hat I popped into Byrnie Utz the other day. I have bought hats from this great shop in the past, but not for a while. Once again I was reminded of how great this shop is with customer service. After trying a few hats the sales woman suggested a few that would be better for my face shape and showed me how I can get different bands to totally change the look. She was spot on and I bought the hat she suggested (the cheaper of the hats I tried). If you're in the market for a new hat..this is the place to go.

I'm a fan of shopping at small boutiques and this is definitely the one I go to for shoes. Unusual, hard to find designers, and super cool staff always make A Mano a real treat to visit. My boots and heels I got last fall are the most treasured of my closet. I recommend this store to all shoe lovers like myself.

Ahh Sambar. I love going to this intimate little bar in Ballard. Exquisitely concocted cocktails with ingredients like rose petals, shiso leaf, and tamarind. When the weather is nice, the patio is one of the most gorgeous in the city. I love bringing out of town guests here.
All the bites on the menu are great but I can never pass up those frites. I have to say I think the bartender, Jay, is the best in the city. Good job Sambar.

I love Yanni's restaurant. Family owned and run with great food and wine. The roasted chicken is hard to pass up but the musakas, avgolemono, keftedes, calamari are all sooo good it makes it so hard to decide. I love going with a group so I can taste everything and drink lots of Retsina wine. Everything is made to order... things move slowly, so don't go if you're in a hurry.

I've been going to Les Amis for years now and have had great experiences. Beautiful and eclectic selection of clothes. I can find basics..tees, tanks, jeans..as well as a special occasion dress, new coat, or accessories. There can be an overwhelming amount of merchandise so if I'm looking for something special I tend to ask someone who works there what I'm looking for and they are always helpful.
Great shop! I always leave with a crush on a few things.
