A good experience 5/26/2010

I usually have a bad experience at amusement parks because of the crowds, prices, headache. I will say though that Sea world does a great job with their food, landscaping, and quality of their Park. Prices are still a bit steep but I did have a good time. more

Excellent amusement park 4/16/2006

One should visit sea world at least once. The whole park is a memorable experience. Its fun to watch the Shamu show and the dolphins,. Be prepared to get soaked if you choose the front rows. There are other animals worth watching including the penguins, seals, flamingos and polar bear. The view from the sky deck tower is amazing. They have some pretty good rides too and my favorite is the Journey to Atlantis more

Family Fun 4/15/2006

I had a wonderful time with my family at sea world but boy was it expensive. The most important thing was that my children were happy and had a great time. The shows are really amazing and entertaining. Parking price is pretty expensive too. It was pretty crowded here maybe because it was a Saturday. more

Sea World 4/12/2006

This is a great park. I never was aware a park would allow that much contact between the visitors and their animals. The dolphins here are put in a very interactive environment. You are allowed to actually feed them and touch them. The killer whales were my favorite. They are amazing creatures. more

My all time favorite exibit at Sea World in San Diego are the killer whales! What an awesome show and performance they put on. The dolphins are a close second. Seeing thos animals up close is such a wonderful experience! There are lots of great exibits and lots of different animals to enjoy. Rather expensive, but worth the trip! more

this place is the bomb 3/29/2006

I wish i went to sea world more often. I find the aquariums very relaxing and I could look at them for days without getting bored. The shark exibit is pretty cool because there is a moving sidewalk that talks you through the whole place and even inside the tank. The shows are also pretty neat if you like to sea sea otters doing funny tricks and you can even watch a 4D movie which is silly if you don't mind getting wet. It's a little pricy but during summer, it's well worth if you get the pass that allows you to come back for free all year long more

Good for family fun 3/28/2006

If you want to take the family out for a good time keep Sea World in mind. As always, be prepared to pay big bucks for your trip. Food, t-shirts, drinks, its all expensive here. Also, MAKE SURE YOU WEAR SUNSCREEN!! I can't stress this enough. You are going to be doing a lot of walking so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Take in the Shamu show as its a great time! I also love the dolphin show as do the kids. more

I Touched a Dolphin! 3/20/2006

My husband (a native San Diegan) took me to Sea World for the first time on our Honeymoon. I was expecting a slightly cooler version of our local coastal aquarium, boy was I wrong. It's amazing how much interaction they allow you to have with the animals at the park. By far, my favorite part of the experience was the Dolphin encounter. Not only do you get to feed the dolphins, but you can pet their heads and interact with them too. The layout of the park is great, you can cover a lot of ground in a little bit of time, without feeling like you missed a section. I can't wait to go back! more

The Dolphin show is the best 3/20/2006

Having been the out of towner, I took my kids to seaworld for the first time, they loved it we were totally sucked into the dolphin show, and my kids choose to get drenched at the shamoo show, I thought the souvenirs were reasonably priced, I didnt care for the food options, and we only took the time to ride one ride. The penguins are adorable. more

Love this place 12/6/2005

A great place to enjoy and have fun. Shamu is amazing with her tricks and its fun to see the dolphins, seals and otters at work. The penguin exhibit is amazing and I loved the red flamingos. The trolley and the sky tower lets you see an amazing view of the San Diego harbor and journey to Atlantis is an experience one never forgets. There are many great places to eat inside and the whole place is very neat and well maintained. Great fun for kids and adults alike more

fun amusement park! 11/17/2005

This place is a lot of fun! Definitely a place to hit as a tourist attraction. There are a lot of shows, such as the famous shamu show. You can also feed the dolphins! Best time to go is in the summer, where they have extra shows and firework display every night. Sea world also has a couple of fun rides. Save some money for souvenirs! the stuffed animals are soo cute!! This is a great place for young kids and adults. there's entertainment for everyone. This is definitely an all day trip so plan accordingly. Slightly on the expensive side, about $45 for an adult ticket. more

I love this place 10/4/2005

We go to Sea World about once a year. It is always a great time. My daughter loves to pet the dolphins. What is even better- right now they are offering free admission to all military families. more

A Waterworld! 9/24/2005

This is a wonderful place to learn about the uniqueness of rare sea-animals. Fun for friends and family. Although, water cost at a ridiculously amount of price ($3 per 16oz.), Sea World is still one of the greatest amusement parks I've ever visited. Be sure that you hide your water bottles in your bag because I believe they wouldn't allow foods and drinks. more

Expensive Entertainment 9/9/2005

This is a nice place to take the family but it is expensive and unless you are a member, parking costs too. Food is also expensive but it isn't that great. On the other hand, included in admission are rides including a roller coaster type ride and a boating type ride, both are loads of fun and the children enjoyed them. There are shows too. The Shamu show is fun, but it gets crowded early so if you want to see it sitting down you need to get there at least 45 minutes early (no kidding). You can bring your own food and leave it in the car. When you want to leave you can do so and get a hand stamp for re entry to save on money for food. If you want to become a member that would be really cheap. You can get it on ez pay where you pay so much for each membership per month. For our family of 2 adults and 2 children we paid about $25/month. more

Great for Out-Of -Towners 9/8/2005

Sea World is fun; I'm not going to lie about that. But you can get away with only going there once every ten years because, the ride rarely change, and the price is really high for everything. I mean, you can go to Disneyland, for a comparable sum of money. In recent years, they have been shifting away from the animal aspect of the park, and moving more towards the ride side, which I think is a good thing. The cost per person for one day would be about $75. more

Great tourist attraction 8/29/2005

Out of all the tourist attractions I have taken visitors of San Diego to, the unanimous favorite has always been SeaWorld San Diego. Some people might brush this experience off as too similar to other parks such as Marine World, but SeaWorld simply is not the same and is a great experience for adults and kids. There are several rides and many animals to view such as dolphins, killer whales, penguins and turtles. There are also several very entertaining shows such as the Shamu show. But there are also interactive activities such as petting and feeding the dolphins. This is one of my favorite things to do and I can still remember the thrill i felt at touching my first dolphin. The best time to is in the summer. Not only are their extended park hours, but their are shows that are only shown in the summer. For instance, cirque de la mer, very reminiscent of cirque du soleil is both impressive and free. There is also a nighttime shamu show which only happens once every night. Summer nights end with a great ten minute firework show. For adults, because SeaWorld is owned by Anheuser-Busch, you can also sample free alcoholic beverages and go to beer school. There is a Anheuser-Busch center shortly after the entrance which has some souvenir shops, restaurants and of course, beer samples! more

Sea World 8/24/2005

We went to Sea World last year and I must say, not only did the kids have fun, but so did mommy and daddy! When we went to see Shamu, we sat at the Wet Zone and boy, we were wet from head to toe! It was so exciting to see us at the big screen TV having so much fun. The show itself was outstanding. I was fooled into believing that the "visitor" was really drowning. How gullible... but the show was that convincing! There were so much shows to see that we never even got to ride any rides. = ( The show by the sea (I can't remember the name) was also pretty cool. The stunts were amazing. The tickets are $$$ and the food is overpriced, but that's always expected at amusement parks. Money well spent. more

another sea world post 8/21/2005

Sea World is one of the tourist attraction in the San Diego. I recommend to go there earlier in the morning so you can finish seeing all the places in one day. Food prices in the park are slightly higher, so bring your own food and water. I especially like the enormous bird cage where people can walk through. Inside doesn’t smell and yet some of the birds are ones I have never seen. more

Seaworld is loads of fun!!! 8/21/2005

I've lived in San Diego for around fifteen years and finally went to Seaworld a few months ago. It is a lot of family fun. Loads of attractions to see and the Shamu show is spectacular! There's a lot of walking, but, so much to see and you probably won't see it all in one day. The group of people that I was with went on the "Ride to Atlantis?" over and over again, we stayed there a half hour!!! There is so much for the kids to see, feeding the turtles and there is a petting area. The food is all overpriced, but, that's normal for an amusement park. Try and get a year long pass, there's always new things going on that you need to see. more
