But I did! My husband is a huge aviation fan and we spent most of the afternoon there. I surprisingly enjoyed this museum quite a bit and I am not even that into aviation.
It had wonderful exhibits and provided a lot of information. I also think that it is one of the museums that offer free admission on a given tuesday in the month.
Definitely worth the time and money to check it out. I didn't think I'd like the museum but I really would go back and bring the kids this time around.
a must for any tourist or aviation fanatic, also a good place to bring the kids!

I've been going to Wavelines for a very long time now. They have everything for skating, snowboarding, and surfing. Their clothes are a bit less expensive than other shops around the area (K5 for example). The workers are really nice and friendly and they are always down to help. Usually at surf shops I feel like the employees feel they are better than me, but not here. I recommend becoming a member for 5 bucks, and they send you a postcard three times a year about their sales and, you always get a member price when you go in.

The San Diego Museum of Art features, in my opinion, the greatest selection of art. The pieces are very ecletic and range from great impressionistic pieces to contemporary and cubist art. They have several rotating exhibits that change ever three or four months, and I make an effort to see each new one as it passes through. Admission is free on Tuesdays, but if you can't make it that day (it's usually really busy anyway, especially during the summer), it's well worth the price to stop in anytime. It's a great first exposure to art for children, as the museum is more child-friendly than most.

I really liked this place because as a girl who grew up in the country, I have a profound appreciation for wildlife and nature in general. There are exhibitions all year round on such diverse subjects as wildlife, fossils, insects, fruit flies and DNA, and even chocolate. A must see for all people visiting San Diego.

The black has the neatest gifts and novelty items, as well as things like incense, candles, and pipes. They have funny t-shirts in the back and even baby clothes. Prices are high but you get what you pay for, and awesome store to window shop or buy at.

San Diego Museum of Arts is a great museum to visit. It’s so interesting and they have the rarest artifacts. I love this museum because it’s easy going and very friendly. It was one of the best times I had ever had at a museum which you have to admit is very hard to do at a museum but the people are great and everything turned out really cool!

It's a regular bowling alley, but the people here have always been nice to us. They're all really friendly and the lanes are pretty much conducive to a social environment. It's also a really great place to hold events if you have any that you need to put on for a group or something like that. Also, there's a huge list of 300-point bowlers, which is fun, because we actually experienced one like that first hand.

We try to get to two Padres home games a season. While I enjoy watching the Padres, it's the ballpark that I am in love with. There are great food options at the park and I like to walk around and take in the view of downtown and the bay. The "park at the park" is a nice lawn area with hill where families can have a picnic and watch the game on a big screen. Take me out to this ball game any day!

More
California's first mission was named San Diego de Alcala in honor or Saint Didacus of Alcala. The tiny mission struggled for many years, enduring not only illness and poor crops, but fighting off Indian attacks. After six years, the mission moved from its original location to a new site with fertile soil and fresh water, about six miles up the river.
Visitors will find a restored church built in 1813. You can stroll on the grounds, and visit the church and mission exhibits
The complex's treasures also include Father Serra's room, an original bell and an original Spanish choir stall.
The mission is accessible by automobile or the San Diego Trolley. It's located right by Qualcomm Stadium.
