I stayed at this hotel last year when I was visiting San Diego, before I moved here. I picked it because it is known for its extensive pop art collection, something I really like. It turned out to be a great hotel. The rooms are decorated in a modern style and have fresh flowers. It makes you feel like you are staying in a really clean version of your own home. The staff is super nice, especially the bartender in their little restaurant. The hotel offers valet parking with for $18/day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to pay a little extra for something nice.

This is a wonderfl place for anyone looking for that rustic feel while still staying in one of the most beautiful areas in the world, San Diego. I cannot say enough about the beauty of this place. I even got my parents to come check this place out and it was well worth it for them. They were able to relax outside of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I do not have their phone number on hand but i'm sure that you could find it on this site and would love it when you go there! highly reccomended !

I've stayed twice, once in the newer part (two story building) and once in the old part (one story in back). The rooms in the newer part, are newer, spacious and clean. Your basic room for a basic rate. I was not satisfied with the old room, run down and small. Ask for a newer room. Good location for San Diego activies. Close to Old Town. In business/freeway area so don't expect to walk around.

I only went to Allstate for my behind the wheel training and let me tell you, it sucked. The lady could barely speak English and made driving seen like a chore, instead of the relaxing experience you can have with it. I think i chose Alstate because it was cheaper but I now regret and should have paid the extra 30 or so for Bakkers. She was also very stern and kept making me pull into Mcdonalds for a quick snack. Another thing that bothered me was the stupid difficult (for beginners) route she made me go then yelled at me for doing it wrong. What the hell. Go somewhere else.

This is a good place to get what you need. They have a very helpful staff who have helped me with my complicated orders. I think it is a great place to go for boxes. I hate scouring behind stores and malls for boxes for moving and I think this is a much better way to go.

I've stayed here about 3 times on various trips to San Diego and keep coming back. The most memorable time was when the duck came into our room and couldn't get out. Boy that was noisy and smelled after the present it left. Other than that, the setting is great, views are good, and it is comfortable. They have special events like singers from time to time and you can at least enjoy the sounds if you don't get tickets to the concerts.

For the past two years, the company i work with has had the company picnic here. Its a really great location and there's plenty to do if you've got kids in tow. The only complaint is how the service is run. If you're there all day, they should ensure that the food it out all day. Well, they took it away at like noon, and the picnic wasn't even over until three. We also still had the area until three, but they started to kick us out sooner due to a wedding. The bartender was also rather rude and didn't seem interested in serving the "beer and wine" even though he was making some tips. All in all, it is a great location, just the staff is not up to part as it should be.

Wow, what a place. I originally went to this place with my girlfriend at the time and it was so good that I booked a weekend for my parents. Their rooms are some of the best that I have ever been in and their food is amazing. Even my parents couldn't stop raving about this place, and they didn't even pay for it! If you are looking for a nice quiet getaway from all of life's hassles you NEED to check this place out. You will not regret it!

My credit union uses the Red Lion quite frequently for meetings for the entire staff or a select few. There banquet halls are quite spacious and there catering is absolutely delicous and spread out on serving tables beautifully.
The hotel is always neat and tidy and very beautiful. I am always greeted when I arrive for a meeting with my company. The staff is professional and courteous and informative. They have a beautiful pool that is very inviting in the summer.
I believe we may have had a Christmas party here in one of the banquet rooms and I had a great time.
If you have guests coming in be sure to put them up at the Red Lion.

The Mission Bay Sportcenter is a fun place to spend a day. You can rent jet skis, catamarrans, kayaks, paddle boats and other types of boats. It is a pretty place to hang out. You can also take lessons or send your kids to day camp during the summer. So get down to Mission Bay next weekend and check this out!
