I can't say enough good things about the W hotel brand. Its always so consistent, with only the best amenities. I always feel welcomed by the staff, the rooms are luxurios with the best decor , and the beds are amazing. Would recommend this place every time. Its not the best value , and the prices are expensive, but the quality is the best.

I met clients on the rooftop deck and bar. it was so surprising to enter this old historic building and see everything sleek, modern, cool. The sun was shining, and we sat by the pool with tender calamari appetizers and lovely exotic bottled water.

My husband and I booked the Sofia Hotel last minute because we were spending a couple of days in San Diego. We didn't know what to expect before we got there, especially knowing it was downtown and seeing all kinds of interesting people hanging around. However, we were surprised and amazed at how nice the hotel was! The rooms are very, very tiny (probably because it is historic) but every detail is modern, quality, and beautiful. We stayed on the 7th floor and had a beautiful view of the city and the bay. We really wished we had more time there. Definitely check it out!
Pros: The room was beautiful
Cons: If you want wi-fi in your room, you have to pay extra

We recently booked a room here for a friend's birthday. Got the Choreographer's Suite with two adjoining rooms. The place was WAY bigger than the pictures on their website. Patio looks out to the pool and it is a GREAT place to just lounge (unfortunately, there is no entry to the pool from your patio). All of the utilities in the rooms were great and working!
From the time we arrived at the valet stand (which is a little pricey at $32 per car -- but it paid off) to the time we left, we were met by courteous people. We got there early so asked if we could leave our luggage there and they gladly took it for us. The front desk called me when our rooms were ready (so we were able to walk around the Gaslamp a little bit). We had to ask for some roll-aways and they were delivered to us by Wanda (who was super cool). She asked if we needed more towels or anything and to ask for her by name if we needed anything else.
We stayed on a Saturday night and went to a Padres Game the next day. We were able to leave our cars there at the hotel after checking out and not have to move them and pay for more parking (which is usually jacked up for game days). When we came back, we picked up our bags, got our car and took off. The only drawback was that I paid for the cars when I checked out (we had 4 cars staying there) and then as people came back to pick up their cars, they paid again. I thought the hotel record would have showed that we paid (I'm going to call them to figure this out tomorrow).
But all in all, the staff, hotel, rooms and location were all amazing and I HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the Gaslamp District!
Pros: Staff was EXTREMELY nice, clean rooms, accomodating hotel
Cons: Expensive valet

My experience at the Peachtree Inn was nothing but great things. It was only temp. housing for me until I got myself adjust to Cali. Clean room, nice view, helpful staff who could ask for anything more. All utilities were included plus cable. They have computers that the residents can use 24 hrs a day Awsome! Over all its a nice place to live it might have a few strange characters but what place doesn't. Great Move in Specials too !! Check them out you won't regret it.
Pros: Very nice employees
Cons: No stoves.

I was here in September 2007 for a conference and brought my family with me. Since I have three young children, I loved that the hotel was across the street from the San Diego airport-it was very easy to get to and from the hotel from the airport. It honestly didn't feel like we were across from the airport in that the hotel is also nestled in a harbor. Our room was nice and was very clean. There was a small balcony with a couple of patio chairs and a small table. The hotel itself was modern and clean. There is a good restaurant there and also a coffee bar. The pool was also nice as was the exercise facility. The hotel is in good proximity to Horton Plaza as well as some other San Diego attractions. I honestly can not say if the hotel is a good value b/c my employer paid for the hotel and I don't recall how expensive it was (I *think* our conference rate was $159/night). If I am in the area, I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was utterly amazing! The hotel is 5 star, the rooms are so sleek and modern. Very swanky, yet sophisticated. Smack dab across the way from Petco Park, Convention Center, Hard Rock Hotel, and Gas Lamp District. Must stay here for your vacation. VIP Bridge that connects to Petco Park Stadium (love the Padres). If you're on business or pleasure you must stay at this hotel, everything is convenient for walking, no rental car needed if you're going to be staying in the gas lamp district. Pool is small, but usable. Very small jaccuzzi. Rooms are clean/quiet/spaceous. Love the Bathrooms. Very relaxing atmosphere. Always love staying at the Omni Hotel San Diego. Reasonably priced, go for the suite! If you're going for romance, suggestion - take a brisk half mile walk to the marina, take the fairy to Coronado Island, have dinner at Candelas on the Beach (request for beach view seating sunset evening) Food is spectacular!!! Or you can squirm around to look for a restaurant in the gas lamp district, but rather be more romantic and go to Coronado Island.. :)
Pros: MODERN FURNITURE, SLEEK, VIP BRIDGE TO PETCO PARK
Cons: NO FREE PARKING, SMALL POOL
