SDSU, although it's a very crowded school with impacted programs, is a good school. SDSU is considered a commuter school because students come from all areas of San Diego to attend.
SDSU's campus is huge and parking can be at a premium. It's not unusual for students to wait in their cars and follow students to their parked cars for their parking spot. With the trolley going to campus beginning Fall 2005, that will help eleviate most of the parking problems.

Growing up in a poorly developed neighborhood, I quickly saw the greatness of this high school. Not only are there quality teachers but the parents of the community are highly involved. Theres always support in all aspects of the schooling so not many students will feel left out. Like an school, there are occasional fights but Scripps security do a good job at stopping them.

I only went to Allstate for my behind the wheel training and let me tell you, it sucked. The lady could barely speak English and made driving seen like a chore, instead of the relaxing experience you can have with it. I think i chose Alstate because it was cheaper but I now regret and should have paid the extra 30 or so for Bakkers. She was also very stern and kept making me pull into Mcdonalds for a quick snack. Another thing that bothered me was the stupid difficult (for beginners) route she made me go then yelled at me for doing it wrong. What the hell. Go somewhere else.

Eve is a breastfeeding consultant who has a little shop in Hillcrest. You can go there for free support groups and infant massage classes. She is a wonderfully sweet woman and has been very helpful to me and my friends. I plan to continue going there for all my infants when we have breastfeeding questions. She knows what she is doing!

Great for SDSU students
If you're a student of SDSU then you probably already know about A Plus Review. A program that's not affiliated with the college that you sign up and pay to go to. Most of the instructors are former students of different teachers at SDSU and they help you study for the exams. You need to check and see if your particular math class and professor is part of the program. Unfortunately not all classes are available at A Plus.
Definitely a program to use to help boost your grade. A bit pricey but worth it.

Point Loma Nazarene is a Christian University [I'm not Nazarene, however] that offers a large selection of majors including Philosophy, Communications, Sociology and Nursing. Their baseball team is highly ranked, and they have very small class sizes. The Italian Community Center is located one block east of Columbia street in little Italy. The building they inhabit used to be a church. The staff there are very approachable and willing to engage in conversation (Italian if you can keep up with them). My girlfriend and I took Italian 1 there and had a blast! There was a casual environment and it was very inexpensive. The class size was very manageable (about 10 students) and we left knowing most of the basics.

Bakker's Driving School is okay, I mean it's driving school, you gotta go here if you want to get your license before age 18. The thing is, this school is boring, they don't teach you crap. I swear I didn't learn one thing from being here four days, 6-8 hours per day. But what can you do? You gotta go to driving school, so just hit this place up. Get it over with, you'll be bored like crazy but oh well.
