My Favorite Nail Salon!!!! 11/28/2008

OMG. My friend and I recently attended a bridal shower at Pinkies. It was over the top. Everything was great, services, desk staff and general ambiance. They even fit in a friend who didn't have an appointment. We felt soooo pampered. I can't wait to get married myself so I can have my bridal shower here. But, Pinkies in definitely now my nail salon as I came back the following week for waxing.....yes, the ""take it all off"" by Annie was the best I've every had. Pros: Great Parking. Super friendly staff. Perfect services. Super clean!!! Cons: Can get really busy so try to book an appointment more

How can you ask for more! 11/26/2008

While posting a couple of restaurant reviews I came across my review a couple of years ago for the Lafayette Pinkies. Now that the owner opened in San Francisco, I am a regular. Service is efficient and the two owners keep everything working smoothly. Much cleaner than under the old owner and always a pleasant experience. I don't understand the negative comments - they are 100% off base. Pinkies is truly the best. more

Beware 11/15/2008

I tried this place since it's so close but i must say ... i will not return. Customer Service was horrible and I was treated like cattle. Rush Rush Rush. My nails were adequate and I just could not enjoy the service. On to find a better place ... i have one in mind already. more

bad customer service,bad treatments 10/3/2008

So, I have driven by this ""cute"" place tons of times. I finally decide to give it a try, it's very clean looking BUT when I walk in I'm looking for someone to help me, finally I turn to the side and I see this not so friendly looking gal hovering over the desk. I ignore the bad customer service and get a pedicure and purchase some cute barrettes, the girl that helped me said I can get taken right away, I ended up waiting 20 minutes!!!! To top it off the woman who did my toes did a horrible job (not $27 worth) I felt as if she were being rushed by the receptionist. I brush that off and go home, look at my receipt and notice they charged me a tax on top of the tax for my barrettes and to my $27 pedicure as well. Is this even legal? First of all that's just wrong , second of all the woman that rang me up should have made me aware of the extra charges. Overall I will not be returning to ""Pinkies"" , there are plenty other cute, clean, and places with GREAT customer service in the city ( about 4 in the PH area). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME !!!!!!!! Pros: great parking, plenty of polish to choose from Cons: customer service is no good more

embarrassed to admit this was my first pedi ... ever. but it was great! the ladies were fast, efficient and friendly. and it only tickled a little bit. i would definitely go back! more

Better as Mani-Pedi 6/23/2008

I've been to this nail salon numerous times, starting back when it was called Mani-Pedi. Since the change of name and management the services have steadily gotten worse and more expensive, bad combo. Staff is less attentive and not as friendly also. I got a $27 pedicure that I had to go home and redo. I will start trying new spots before returning to Pinkies. When I go to Pinkies I always get great service, from the moment i pick my color, the staff makes you feel good. The nail technicians always do a great job. No matter who is helping me, I leave feeling relaxed and my nails look fantastic. I love the green tea they serve, the foot massages, the gift selections and the conversations I have with the friendly people at Pinkies. It?s clean and convenient. I am a pinkies regular! i love my mani/pedi that i got yesterday from pinkies. I am going to become a regular here. I didnt feel rushed, got a great hand and foot massage and the staff is friendly and they did a great job. Its the first time i had someone doing my toes and another gal doing my hands. Saved a bunch of time with this great service. Thanks Pinkies! Pros: friendly staff, easy parking, walk in avail. Very nice nail salons 5/6/2008

I love this place. The workers are really nice and the place doesn't stink. I can park and don't have to walk 4 blocks in flip flops when I'm done. Last week I messed up 2 nails and the manicurist was completely sweet about fixing them. more

Pinkies did my nails great! I look forward to my new nail salon in my new hood!! 5/3/2008

I just moved to San Francisco from LA and was worried I wouldn't find a place to get my nails done. I just went here today for a spa mani/pedi and it was fabulous. The spa is very comfortable and unpretentious. The people working there are very friendly and attentive, i am going to be a regular here for sure. more

I treat my feet to Pinkies Nail Salon! 5/2/2008

I have had nothing but super good experiences at Pinkies on the hill (Potrero Hill). Im not a mani girl, but for sure a pedi person!!! Pinkies does a great job. The staff is great and even when they are busy, they dont rush you out. I sometimes spend a little extra to get the longer foot massage :) it's totally worth it. more

My experience at Pinkies was extremely pleasurable. The staff were very friendly, ready for me right on time and took care of my needs. THe environment was very clean and pleasing and it was on overall great experience. I will definitely return! more

I live in the area and I used to go to Mani Pedi, but Pinkies is by far the best place to get pampered like a Queen! Mani Pedi made you wait FOREVER, and with Pinkies you get in when you make your appt. Pros: great customer service and parking Cons: you have to make an appt (for you last minute ones) more

Hey there folks, go try Pinkies! It is different, with great service, relaxing atmosphere and attention to detail (very clean, very organized, very friendly.) It is my new place for mani and pedis, and I wanted to pass on my great review in case it helps others make the right choice. I have been to the San Francisco, Lafayette and Los Altos stores, and all were very consistent with equal high quality. Go Pinkies! more

I cannot say enough great things about Pinkies! The manicures and pedicures are really wonderful and very reasonably priced. They also offer waxing, which seem to be a large part of their business. The salon is extremely clean. Walk-ins are cheerfully welcome. The whole staff there is helpful and pleasant. If you are looking for a new salon for your beauty needs, try Pinkies. Only place to get pedicures 2/18/2008

I've been to the Pinkies nail salons in Burlingame, San Francisco and Lafayette, and time and again, this place delivers the best service, best product and best experience. It's extremely clean and modern, and they always deliver a consistent product. The one thing I love about pedicures at Pinkies is that they last for weeks, sometimes six weeks. The front desk staff always bends over backwards to find me an appointment to best meet my schedule. They have the preferred Opi nail polish product and the staff is always friendly and respectful of my relaxed time there. This weekend I went to the salon in San Francisco for the first time and they had champagne. There is no place better than Pinkies to feel like a girly-girl. Great place for a pedi 2/18/2008

My girlfriend and I heard about Pinkies from a friend not too long ago. Although I have been getting pedis and manis for sometime now, I have never been with my girlfriend before. I asked my friend about the perfect post VDAY spot to get a quick pedicure for my girlfriend and I. She suggested Pinkies. Upon arrival, we were seated next to one another within minutes....not to mention free pouring champagne. The service was great and the pedicure was just as good. Most relaxing nail spa in the city 2/13/2008

I was recommended to try Pinkies salon recently by a friend. There are little nail salons everywhere in this city, but finding one that meets all the criteria is difficult. This place treated me like royalty. I was greeted with a genuine smile from the manager who immediately showed me to a chair. Over a hot cup of tea I felt completely relaxed and pampered. My manicure and pedicure were among the best I've ever had (and the color is still lasting). I will definitely be going back to this little haven!! Thank you! Pros: great customer service, great job! Love the location! Cons: Definately have to make an appointment before going. more
