Best

I've tried every pie on their menu and frequently get the daily special pie and I haven't had one that I didn't like! And the portion sizes are NOT small, the pies looks small but...

Good bar - ok food 2/4/2007

I'd had several friends recomend Pies & Pints and had been looking forward to checking it out for quite awhile. It's a nice little place, the bar in the back is really cozy and everyone who works there is really nice. We were a bit disapointed by the size of the pies though. Luckily I'd had a big lunch because when my tiny little pie came to the table with nothing to go with it I was a bit surprised. I'll go back again but I will just know that a pie doesn't make up a whole dinner. more

Good Grub! Nice Atmosphere! 8/31/2006

The menu could use a little more variety, but what they do have is quite yummy. Great selection of beer and drinks! The owner and staff are fun and delightful. Nice seating area and pool in back. more

Big fan of the pies and the pints 6/20/2006

I got turned on to this place by one of my neighbors who also happens to be my massage therapist. I've come to love this joint partly because of my fondess for chicken pot pie (since childhood) and because it is so easy on the pocketbook. It's a reasonably priced place to go and get a satisfying meal. I'm personally a big fan of the standard chicken pot pie in the version of a "pot pie float" meaning that they put it floating in with a bit of split pea soup even though pot pies don't really "float." These tasty morsels with a lovely pint of good ale is wonderful for the soul after a long day. I'm hoping they'll open one of these places closer to me on Phinney Ridge but even if they don't I'll venture to the other side of Greenlake to eat these yummy pies. Oh, as for flavors there are several chicken varieties, a number of beef flavors (one or two of these I wasn't a fan of the sauces in them), and I believe they also have a veggie version. Now that I'm writing about them again I've put this on my calendar to go there again SOON!!!! I'm hungry!!!! I've occasionally had less than stellar service (slow but not rude) but I'm willing to go for the food regardless. more

good pies, a bit small though 6/13/2006

The pies were a bit smaller then I envisioned. but good. The beer cheese sauces is a great addition, but spendy at $1.50 for a small dish. It does leave you room for dessert though. The place can be a bit noisy if crowded.... there is a bar and pool table in the back, seating up front. The last time we were in for dinner on a wednesday night, the place got very busy with only one waitress. It took forever to get our check. Hopefully this isn't a common experience here. more

Good grub at Pies & Pints 5/3/2006

We've only been a couple of times, but the food is very good, and they have live music on weekends! They have some great vegetarian options among the pies, and yes, they do have good desserts as well. more

This is my kind of place 2/24/2006

The food was pretty good - the atmosphere was very comfortable (complete with a pool table in the back) - they have a bluegrass band playing every Sunday night at 7:30 - and they're kid friendly!! We had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone more

Good Once in a While 9/26/2005

This is not a place you go to all the time unless you really like pot pies. With that said, their pies are scrumptious. I usually get the Mediterranean since I'm big on artichokes, but their classic chicken and steak and potato are both safe bets. The menu is reasonably priced. The one thing about this place is that it feels like it should be a nice little family restaurant. Every time I've been into Pies and Pints, there have been children milling around their parents and grandparents, which isn't a bad thing, but they appear rather bored and restless. If they had something on the menu geared toward kids or just something for the kids to do, it would be more family friendly. However, this apparently hasn't stopped people from taking their children there. more

Pies & Pints Delivers 9/23/2005

Pies & Pints is easily accessible by both car and public transportation. The wait staff at this small pub are friendly and quickly learn to recognize you and your preferred order. They serve handmade pot pies of several different varieties -- including Spinach & Feta; Mediterranean; Classic Chicken with Rosemary; and Indian Curry. There are several different vegetarian options, though my favorite is the S&F. Also try out their happy hour which ends at 6 p.m. more

Not a dive bar 8/16/2005

This restaurant in the Roosevelt Square area offers great food, a seperate bar, live music on the weekends and free pool! The food is mostly fancy bar food and tasty homemade pies, with options for vegetarians as well at meatertarians. Try the veggie curry pie and while you're at it make it a 'pie float' and they'll drown it in a pool of pea soup! Swell! Also, the waitesses are universally lovely. more

Perfect neighborhood spot 8/16/2005

This is our new favorite place to go when we've had a long day, don't want to cook, and need some cheap yummy eats. The pies are pot pies all made on site. I've had them all and there's not a dud in the bunch. There's also a special pie of the day and the soup of the day is always a winner. Servings are a refreshing break from the bigger is better portions being shoveled out by so many other eateries. Plus the smaller portions save room for dessert which is not to be missed! The location is low-key, comfrotable and quiet. Tables up front; couches, bar and pool table in back. Only real issue is that the menu is a bit limited. We go there 2-3 times a month and at this point we've pretty much gone through the menu several times over. more

My new favorite place 5/7/2005

Pies and Pints has quickly become my new favorite chill bar in Seattle. We went on a Wednesday after a concert, and the place was totally uncrowded, the pool was free, and the service was awesome. And what goes better together than great beer and fantastic desserts? I highly recommend the passionfruit cheesecake, and the Irish nachos (fries with nacho toppings) were, in the words of the bartender, "absurdly awesome." more

Good food, good drink 10/20/2004

The meat pies are pretty cheap and filling, but you will have room for one of their *amazing* desserts. There is a dining area where you can take your family in the front, and a 21+ only bar area in the back. The bartender is friendly, and will help you find a good drink if you don't know what you want. And pool in the bar area is free. They also had a live band (in the front dining area) while we were there. Check it out, especially if you are a local. more
