I shop at PCC mainly for the organic produce as well as the sense of community that comes from being part of a co-operative. I've met some very interesting people at the hot f...

What's your health worth 3/10/2006

I'm glad there is a co-op like PCC here in the Seattle area. They know their customers, they listen, and they have great service. I have found hard to find items here, or they have special ordered them for me. Their prices are reasonable for the type of merchandise and food sold. They are less expensive than Whole Foods. I am a lifetime member and have been shopping at PCC since the late 1980s. Great food, terrific selection, and now bigger stores and better locations. Glad they are around, because you just can't buy that type of "hometown" feel in a healthy living grocery store like this. Me and my kids' health and longevity matter more to me than paying a few extra bucks for healthier foods and a more sustainable supply of them. And I like the community bulletin boards outside. :) more

If I were rich, I'd shop here... 10/6/2005

But I am not. I like the selection of organic produce, but most of it breaks my budget. I am a graduating student and have recently started saving money for the future, so it's tough for me to justify paying $2 more for milk. BUT when I do make more dough, expect to find me here. more

PCC is a great local co-operative. Their fruits and vegetables are especially good. The deli counter has an impressive array of tasty prepared foods, and some of the desserts are vegan-friendly. The bulk section is a good way of saving money, and the selection is very good. PCC also offers cooking classes, which are always fun and informative. more

Natural foods 8/18/2005

PCC really is one of the best natural markets around - and it's lovely that it's a co-op. With a lifetime membership (which I think is around $60), you get 5% off everything you buy on the 15th and 16th of every month, which is a pretty good deal. They also have a deli with excellent prepared food, serve good bagles, and actually make a good cup of coffee! more

Upscale natural foods 8/18/2005

PCC, I love you and yet you drive me nuts. You have a great bulk food section where I can find beans, nuts, grains and other staples for a fair price. You have great bulk cheeses and olives (though a bit spendy). Your wine and beer sections are plentiful and reasonably priced. And yet, if I want to buy produce or canned goods (i.e. tomatoes, or beans), the only kind available are hand-raised heirloom organic microbrands, and your prices rapidly exceed my budget. Why, oh why, PCC, must you taunt me with the illusion of being a full-service grocery store, and then whisk it away from me when I try to buy, say, jam? You are cruel. more

Healthy food store delivers 8/16/2005

PCC doesn't focus on cheap, though it's prices aren't really all that bad. It doesn't focus on variety, though it has most things you'll need. It doesn't focus on having everything in stock year-round, though it's suprsingly good at even that. What PPC does focus on is healthy, organic, locally grown food. It's more expensive than what you'll find most other places, but it's better for you, not to mention better for the environment. PCC Members ($60 lifetime fee) get monthly discounts. more

Great northwest based natural foods store 7/27/2005

PCC rocks! They have a great selection of organic and natural foods, including fresh produce, frozen foods, and snack items. Their bakery and deli is unbelieveable, with delicious and healthy food choices, many of which are either made on site or locally. PCC can get a little pricey, but it's more than worth it, given the high quality of the food and products you're getting. more
