Like most Pakistani restaurants Pakwans food is very flavorful, but full of oil. The naan are too thin and hard to eat with the curries. The tandoori dishes are very tasty, but most everything is too spicy for my kids. The service is nearly non-existent, save the cashier who takes your order, and even he is rather surly. The ambiance is provided by the nieghborhood, which is an interesting change from the burbs. Much better dining options in the mission.
