The food is pretty good and the prices are great. My only complaint would be that I wish they would lower the delivery minimum to $15, especially since they charge a delivery fee. more

Terrible. Everything that was supposed to be hot was room temperature, and everything that was supposed to be cold was too. They left out items I ordered and paid for. more

Lousy. They forgot the rice. Stuff that was supposed to be hot was lukewarm and soggy, stuff that was supposed to be cold was lukewarm too. They just tossed the popadums in the bag so they were in tiny pieces by the time the bags got to me. Never again! more

I love pakwan. Some of the greatest indian here in SF. But the night we ordered, the delivery driver wasn't at work. Eat24 called to cancel our order but then said we could also go pick it up. When we went to pick up the food the had sent the order to their TL location so we had to wait for them to make it. Poor communication. more

For all of those who complains with upset stomach; Indian or Pakistani food made with heavy duty spices and if you go to any of these restaurant ask them to prepare your food with mild spices. As far as quality and freshness of the food goes, you should know that every restuarant in bay area by law is required to cook your food at 300 degree F and there is no way you can get upset stomach from it.\r I have been to different indian and pakistani restuarants and I found Pakwan restaurant one of the best in town when it comes to taste and freshness of the food. This restaurant is always busy. Don't expect fine dining style service at 6 dollars a dish price. It is not a fine dining restuarant anf that is why prices are so low. There are 10 great tasty Indian restaurants within a 1/2 mile radius of Pakwan - avoid this one. Our large group ordered a number of different dishes, but everyone ended up with an upset stomach. Stay away. more

I'm an Indian junkie (food, that is), and I have tried pretty much every Indian restaurant in town. Pakwan's food is some of the best and most authentic you can find. Located in the scenic Tenderloin, plan on bringing your appetite and a can of mace. The location is the 'four corner's of Indian dining. Naan & Curry, Shalimar, Pakwan, and the new Chuntey are all on adjacent corners of Jones and O'Farrell. Try the chicken tikka masala and a side of naan. Die with a smile on your face.... more
