If you're looking for a nice environment to take your children and would like compassionate people (or shoot...even just friendly people) to greet you when you walk in the door, then do NOT go here! The girls at the front desk are RUDE and lack any sort of empathy whatsoever!!! Don't ever think you'll be seen on time at this place either - the waits are always AT LEAST an hour, even when you show up 30 minutes before your appointment time, you'll still wait until an hour after the time you are supposed to be seen - it's ridiculous, especially with small children! Honestly, the girls at the front desk are the poorest reflection of this place - they are a huge disgrace to this practice. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!\r more

Love it! 2/21/2011

Several years ago I was an elementary school teacher who was newly married and without kids. During that time I noticed a pattern of a lot of the children in my class...they all had the same doctor's office NEPA! When I had my first child I decided to call and see if there were openings and got to meet Dr. Pauli and his staff. It was such a great experience. My children are now 7 1/2 and 6 and we continue to go to NEPA and be taken care of so well. During the high flu season it can be hard to get an apointment, but the nurse helped find a time and we were taken care of. I am eternally grateful for NEPA, all the doctors, nurses and staff. I highly recommend it. more

I love this office 2/21/2011

I just wanted to say I absolutely love this office. I must admit I am not a fan of their new phone system so I just pressed any number and reached a man named Kenny who was awesome. I told him what I needed and he transferred me to a woman named Shawana. I explained to her that I needed to make an appointment for my daughter but I heard that her Dr. Hagee switched offices. She told me I could go to the Shertz location but if that was too far I was more than welcome to switch doctors. She recommended two doctors one of which her own children went to. She was very patient with me and answered all my questions. My daughter ended up seeing Dr. Franco and loved her! She was very friendly and even joked around with my daughter to make her feel comfortable. Later on I even had the opportunity meet Kenny and he was just as delightful in person as he was over the phone. I would recommend North East Pediatric to anyone looking for a pediatrician. more

Amazing doctors at NEPA 2/16/2011

My family and I moved to San Antonio a year and a half ago, and the biggest apprehension of this move was having to find a new pediatrician for my two children. Finding a good pediatrician was the number one priority for me and my husband after our move. After trying a different pediatrician's office for a few months, we started taking our children to NEPA. I am so thankful for their highly qualified staff and their continual help and support to our family. Both the doctors and the P.A.'s are great, along with very helpful nursing staff that have returned my frantic calls on several occasions! Thank you NEPA for your commitment to quality care for our precious children in San Antonio. more

TRUSTED w the BEST PART of my LIFE! 2/16/2011

We have gone to NEPA for 11 years now. Not only do my 2 children go, but my 12 nieces and nephews go as well. That is how much we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. I have never had a problem getting an appt for a sick child, obtaining a last-minute medication, finding an answer to a ridiculous parent question or getting a visit when my child was in the hospital. When my daughter was in the hospital with a brown recluse spider bite, Dr. Pauli came by multiple times a day. When my children needed ear tubes (5X), we were in the dr's office like a revolving door and were always greeted with a friendly smile and seen at our appointed time, if not before. The NEPA staff and Dr. Pauli have become an extension of our family, and when we count our blessings we truly count them twice! You can search the world over, but you won't find a better team anywhere. more

Beyond the call of duty! 2/15/2011

I have taken my children to this practice for over 11 years now. I am proud to say that I believe the physicians and staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty to care for my children. I especially appreciate that they are open 7 days a week for my little ones! Not many practices offer these extra services and for worried moms on the weekend this makes all the difference in the world. So I thank you physicians and staff at Northeast Pediatrics for all that you do! more

Meat Market of Pediatrics 2/10/2011

For about 4 years we have been happy with Northeast Pediatrics. We have had the same Doctor since our first child was born 5 years ago and that same Doctor administered the new born screening for both of our children (ages 5 &1). Over the last 6-months the ""wheels just came off"" Northeast Pediatrics. Here is Why and Reason #3 is why we are leaving: 1.) The phone system. I know it sounds silly to mention the phone system, but when you have an automated system that ""makes you"" navigate through 30-40 seconds of menus just to make an appointment it can drive you crazy, when your limited in time. The BIGGER problem has been very long periods of busy tones, I'm talking 1-4 hours (not kidding), because they recently changed to ""one"" number for 3-practice locations and no alternatives of getting through to talk with your Doctor. What has been disheartening has been the Office Manager's DEAF EARS, they just don't care, because myself and several other parents have complained repeatedly and they just don't do anything. 2.) The Front Office Staff has gotten ruder and ruder over the past few months. They speak to you like you are just a piece of Meat, without any empathy or compassion. This is hard to deal with at times, because if you have been up for 3-days without sleep, because of a sick child you just want some HELP from a friendly person. And again when you complain it just falls on the Office Manager's DEAF EARS, they just don't care, because myself and several other parents have complained repeatedly and they just don't do anything. 3.) It's really SAD to use these words, but Northeast Pediatrics has become a ""Meat Market"" for children. I say this because we have had several occasions where Nurses have NOT consulted medical charts and almost given our kids the WRONG MEDICATIONS. I'm not kidding, they have become terribly sloppy. Furthermore, when you see other Doctor's (not your primary) in the practice, they act completely clueless and unprepared when they see your child, because they obviously had NOT reviewed the medical chart. What makes this so remarkable is that they use a ""digital"" records system, that every Doctor has access to and it lists they entire medical history of your child. This lack of professionalism has created several instances, where our children have been misdiagnosed or the diagnosis was incomplete, which required multiple follow up appoints costing more co-pay dollars and wasting an enormous amount of time and causing undue hardship on our children and on us. Additionally, many of the diagnosis problems arise from Doctors treating you and your children like ""Meat"", without any compassion or empathy and ALWAYS in a rush. And again when you complain it just falls on the Office Manager's DEAF EARS, they just don't care, because myself and several other parents have complained repeatedly and they just don't do anything. Words can't describe how ANGRY and SAD we are, because we actually like our primary Doctor and her assistant. But the overall mismanagement and poor attitude of the rest of the practice has forced us and several other parents to say, WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!! We are leaving Northeast Pediatrics after 5-years of service and we will NOT and would NOT recommend this practice to anyone. more

Northeast Pediatrics isn't customer friendly/responsive 9/24/2010

Our children's doctor is awesome. The place has been great when we first started going there, but alot has changed in the last 2 yrs. The front desk staff is aweful, particularly ""Lena"". The staff isn't friendly and they seem overbooked. The clinic is also not responsive to phone calls or a simple request for a shot record, which by the way is $7. It is unfortunate that the clinic seems to be driven hard for profits for its investors/owners. I will be changing clinics. more

Unfriendly front desk 12/21/2008

Love my doctor but the girl at the front desk could stand to be friendlier. Bringing your sick child to the doctor is stressful enough with out feeling like you are inconveniencing the front dek every time you call or sign-in. I have come to this office since I was born and was thrilled when my daughter was able to come here and see my old pediatrician. I must say I have been debating on changing doctors for this reason. more
