I have made the trip many times, learning more each time. I just returned from taking my two boys for there first time to see one of the birthplaces of texas freedom. I highly recommend a trip to The Alamo, were some amazing bravery took place on both sides of those walls. You cant help but feel the sheer weight of what they faced for 13 days inside that compound. By the most conservative accounts they were out number 10 to 1.
Pros: Wonderful History, Free to Tour, Great Souvenirs

University Bowl ins a great place to go bowling. The place is large and spacious and always kept nice and clean. They have a lot of lanes so there is usually not a wait. They also have a concession and an area with video games. The people who work there are helpful and patient. The prices are average but there are always two for one coupons in the local phone book and sometimes the kids get coupons at school.

Bandera Bowl and Funplex is a great place to spend the afternoon or evening with the family. They have plenty of lanes for bowling and they have a large game and play area for the kids after they bowl. The people who work there are nice and helpful. The prices are good.

This museum is prefect for the kids! THey will love it. Best of all is that it is educational! They have things for all ages and it will make the day fun. The admission price can be steep if you have a large family but is worth it at least once. Parking is sometimes an issue and it tends to be crowded sometimes, so be prepared!!!

Power Swing is a great place to get some batting practice. THey have plenty of baseball and softball cages that have adjustable heights and speeds. Whole teams are often seen there taking their turns at the bat. The people who work there are nice and helpful. The price is about average for the area.

We went last summer and drove through the park twice. On the second time, a zebra got real friendly with my husband who did not think when he put the bag of food between his legs while he was driving and had the window down. If I would have had the camcorder on, we would have been on America's Funniest Home Videos! My husband of course does not want to go back but just laugh and say, "Gee, honey, don't you want to visit your girlfriend?"

Large selection of costumes for halloween or that costume ball. They have it all! I would recommend getting there early at the real busy times of the year and put what you want on reserve. There are qualified staff members there to help you achieve that look thst you want. Let your imagination run wild and have some fun!

This is a really neat store with alot of great products for the outdoors. They offer camping supplies, clothes, gadgets, shoes, tools, tents, and so much more. They are a little bit pricy but their products are worth it. The staff is helpful and friendly. Cool place to shop for gifts for an outdoor lover. I would recommend checking this place out!

Good: CLEAN! CUTE! Family Friendly! Great Attention to detials, Bathrooms spotless right down to the Baby Changing Station! Employees were helpful, courteous, and ON the Ball! Treated us like we were family! Mom and Pop run with High School and College Kids as employees. Priced right( I even found a Dollar Off Coupon on their website). Bad: Not One thing! It was a Mom's Dream come true for an afternoon adventure. Yes it was HOT! But get this, we were coming out of the goldmine about halfway around the course, and here comes an employee with a little ice chest full of sparkling white "cool down towels" that had been soaked in Ice water and rung out. The little employee instructed us to place it around our neck and it would cool us down for the back 9 ...ha! It felt awesome! There were alot of Banana , Palm trees, and shade structures around too. Improvements: 4 more like it in San Antonio! HA! Just Kidding. We Live way North. So we have to travel a Bit to get there but it is well worth the trip.. Other: I always read all reviews for all of the places I take my Family before we set out to go. In this day of the computer, anyone can post anything about anyone. So I look at an overall average before I consider taking my family. This place got a couple of "Dings". But after seeing it and experiencing it for myself...I think those were bogus. This place is truly a GEM. The Management couple were adorable my kids still talk about how nice they were to show them where the balls went after hole 18..

I can not begin to express our feelings about Martial Arts P.D.C. They are INCREDIBLE!!!! I admire how they all take pride in there students as well as family members. They teach everyone responsiblity and the rewards that follow. I highly recommend this facility to everyone that crosses my path. They are truly a gift from God.
