These guys helped me get started in the paintball scene. I needed a little help on what equipment to buy and the staff at Paintball Mart helped me. The store has everything that the regular paintballer needs. Everything is easy to find and the prices are pretty good too. This is one of the only paintball stores that I go to.

Proshop paintball is another great place to shop for paintball supplies and equipment. The owner is really nice and helpful. Since he is a former paintball player he knows just what a person will need to play. The store is stocked well and if an item isn't there then it can be ordered for you. They are helpful and very nice.

If you are looking for paintball supplies & equipment I really recommend NOT going to Alamo City. The owner and his staff aren't that friendly. The selection of items in the store is very poor and the prices are extremely high compared to other stores.

My family was enjoying our first mini golf with our children. However,
my children couldn't grasp the putter correctly. When my husband
took mine to show them how to do it correctly he was scolded by an older gentleman who worked there. He said there was no sharing allowed.We did not acknowledge him but he was so rude and unprofessional.

The McNay art museum has a nice permanent collection of art and features rotating exhibits often. It is located on the edge of Alamo Heights and is completely separated from the neighborhood by high walls. The interior gardens seem more like a park and many people choose to have their wedding photos taken there.

I'll be honest, I wouldn't pay to go there. It's worth it on the free Tuesday. It has some interesting artifacts and the T-Rex skull is neat, always a favorite. There's a tree house for kids and while there is a section for younger kids, it's not much and is generally geared for older children. My toddler found it rather boring after awhile.

This is a great dance/ballet studio for even children as young as 3. They have great teachers that can deal with children that young. Rates are reasonable. You can ‘make-up’ classes if you miss any. The end-of-year program is at the Lila Cockrell Theatre. It was all worth it! They sell ballet/tap merchandise at the studio.
The waiting room is small, so I would avoid any pm classes or Saturday classes

The Purple Cactus has very unique collectibles for hobbyist. There are a variety of vendors in this store. Some vendors may not be all open at the same time. They usually have unique tournaments. However, if you are looking for hard to find comics or related items, this is a good place to look. The items can be expensive. I would recommend going on Saturday.

Northside Ballroom offers rentals for any occasion. They are a great place to rent tables and chairs for an inexpensive fee. We’ve used Northside Ballroom for many years, their prices do not increase much. The tables and chairs are a little worn out, but you can pick the chairs you would like to rent. It is best to pick-up/deliver them yourself.

This place is great to see once or twice. The more you go the more dull the place becomes! Its fun to see it once and appreciate the history that took place there but after that you start to just end up staring at buildings. It is located off a busy street and is very easy to find. Parking is easily accessible and convenient to the other missions!
