The new Toddler area at the San Antonio Zoo is really a great hands-on learning experience for kids. They have animals that are brought in for the kids to get an up close view of, they can feed the chickens, play in the pretend room (room with lots of hand-on pretend play toys, like a kitchen, mini zoo, etc), they can fish in the fishing pond (magnetic fish), crawl in tunnels like the pararie dogs do and so much more!! They have classes that you can sign your kids up for to get even more of a learning experience. A wonderful play place where they see & learn so much more.
The rest of the zoo is great too with even more changes & updates being made.

The San Antonio Zoo is a place the whole family will enjoy. We make it at least one a year and there is always something new to see. The entire park is heavily shaded and there are plenty of seating areas to stop and rest. This is especially nice for the grandparents. Be sure to ask if there are any new babies to see in the nursery, the new babies are always amazing to look at.

Malibu Castle is a great place to take the family. They have two different mini golf courses so you can switch it up every time you go there. They also have bumper boats, go karts, batting cages, and an arcade. Its usually pretty busy on weekends so I suggest going on weekdays instead. Go if you're looking for a good time with the family.

I like to visit the believe it or not museums whenever I can. They are all different and have unique items. I think it is a cheap way to entertain the entire family. This one is very interesting. We also like the wax museum. There was a horror part you can skip if you have small children.

This is one of the most beautiful gardens I've ever visited. If you visit this city and miss seeing this spot, you've done your self a dis-service. Also the park within where it's located is magnificent. Give yourself a day for this area. It also has on of the finest zoos I've ever seen. There are just too many attractions to list, but it's a must see on anyones list.

University Bowl ins a great place to go bowling. The place is large and spacious and always kept nice and clean. They have a lot of lanes so there is usually not a wait. They also have a concession and an area with video games. The people who work there are helpful and patient. The prices are average but there are always two for one coupons in the local phone book and sometimes the kids get coupons at school.

My family really enjoyed our trip and my 7 year old daughter was amazed by the animals and wouldn't stop asking when we would be going again. I found a coupon at http://www.zoocoupons.org/san-antonio-zoo/ which helped a little with the cost. In these times, every little bit helps.

The Rio San Antonio Cruises is located at the Rivercenter Mall in San Antonio. They offer rides everyday, and the river gets especially beautiful at night, when the lights glow over the river. The cruise hasn't changed much in 2 years, but it is still something my family does everytime we go to San Antonio. The ticket prices are affordable, and the ride is relaxing.

This museum is prefect for the kids! THey will love it. Best of all is that it is educational! They have things for all ages and it will make the day fun. The admission price can be steep if you have a large family but is worth it at least once. Parking is sometimes an issue and it tends to be crowded sometimes, so be prepared!!!
