Magnolia Tree

Magnolia Tree has an adequate selection of greeting cards and stationery type items. There are also a number of overpriced and not particularly inspired gift options. However, I find that I avoid this store because of the sour staff. They act like they're doing you a favor to let you pay for your items and aren't the least bit interested in providing any actual assistance. If, God forbid, you bring your children into the store (and mine are actually quite calm and well behaved) they'll give you the "They better not break anything!" look. I generally like to shop at independent card and gift stores and avoid Hallmark like the plague, but I think Magnolia Tree is too geared toward stodgy little old ladies for me to want to patronize the store. more

Let's face it, we all need to buy a quick gift or card once in a while, and that's why it's a good thing that stores like Magnolia Tree exist. They have a decent selection of cards, although I would like to see more blank cards available since I don't really like all the gushy insides of most cards. During the holidays, they carry some fantastic Christmas ornaments, and it is always worth popping by to check out a few and give them to a friend and/or family member. more
