La Corneta Taqueria

I went to La Corneta Taqueria in Mission St. Dec. 22, 2006 and I got a Fish Burrito (Salmon). The day after my hands were full of water blisters. I suspect food poisoning due to the fish. Today Dec. 25, 2006 my hands are much worse. Food Poisoning, Dec. 22, 2006 La Corneta, Mission St, San Francisco. Fish Burrito !!! La Coroneta proves that you don't have to be a grimy little hole in the wall to qualify as an authentic Mission taqueria....clean, bright, with tons of seating and burritos made with the right ratio and balance of fresh ingredients, it's a solid choice for a filling, inexpensive meal. I totally know why people like this place so much. Because it is one of the cleanest taquerias ever. Myself, I prefer the salsa splattered, tortilla chip crumbed places. The ones where you see them mop the tables up with a nasty wet towel that just makes the tables more germ infested than they were before, covered with a protective layer of bean spattered tin foil. I see a place that's this clean and I expect bland and no surprise, La Corneta is bland. But, like I said, some people really dig this place. But those are the kind of people that get food poisoning every time they eat at El Farolito, so put yourself in my camp or their camp and then decide where you want to get your next burrito. more

An excellent place for burritoes. Pundits may not like the unauthetic interior but i love how clean and colorful it is. When there isnt a large line the burritoes taste are HUGE but when tehre is a line the service is slightly lacking. i highly recommend the chorizo meat but it feels like a heartbuster going down. more
