The staff recommended good public transportation 11/29/2010

Public restrooms are hard to find in San Francisco so this was a big plus after we checked out at noon but were not ready to leave for the airport until 5 pm. The staff recommended good public transportation routes and good local restaurants. more

Grant Plaza Management 11/22/2010

Please be advised that we received outstanding service from one of your front desk people named Winnie. We were blessed to have her help us add a day to our reservation before we even arrived and then we received courteous, efficient and very professional assistance from her several times during our visit and at check-out time. We would ask you to convey our thanks and perhaps do something special to recognize the excellent job she did with us. We look forward to returning to your hotel in the future and hope that Winnie will be there to greet us again. A large part of our favorable feelings about the Grant Plaza come directly from the very pleasant transactions that we had with Winnie when we were there. more

We had a wonderful time at the Grant Plaza. The staff was wonderful, the room clean and nice and the location was fun! I was a little concerned after I read some of the negative reports people had posted about not being clean and tiny rooms but it was simply not our experience. We had a great time and recommend it highly for simple accommodations. Was a great experience. more

The staff was friendly and helpful, close to attractions and downtown, we used the hotel as a base camp for movement between the different San Francisco districts. The hotel is off major streets and Chinatown shuts down during the nights. Overall great for the price! more

Location! I would highly recommend this hotel simply because of the prime location of this hotel. It is situated inside Chinatown and is walking distance to Union Square. If you are on a budget, then look no further. It is the best deal money can buy. more

Location is great - walking distance to the train which takes you to and from the airport, union square (do all your shopping), and visitor's center where you get all the maps, hop on the trolley, etc. more

It's got a great vibe and the front-end staff were SUPER friendly when I checked in, so I gotta give this place a 4-star review. For the area in which it sits, right on the brink of the Financial District, it's pretty tough to find a better deal in town. more
