Yummy gelato 4/13/2006

This is a great place to go for a cool gelato on a hot day -- or any day. Unlike many kinds of ice cream, you do not need a huge quantity of gelato to feel delightfully satisfied. The flavors are so concentrated that one (or maybe two) small scoops will suffice very nicely. Many of the available varieties of gelato are fruity, including unusual flavors like mango and coconut. Hazelnut is also very tasty and richly nutty. There are other foods, as well as coffee drinks, at Gelato D'italia, but I have never tried them. The gelato is what I go for every time. more

It's Like Being In Italy! 2/15/2006

If you have ever been to Italy, you know how wonderful a nice scoop of gelato can be! If you haven't been, you don't have to go far to enjoy the same wonderful flavors! Head down to Cherry Creek and have a big scoop of chocolate gelato! It is like nothing you have ever tasted before! It is the smoothest, creamiest ice cream ever! They have several different flavors, so try a sample or two before you buy! more

A Tasty Ice Cream Alternative 2/2/2006

If you want something a different from the usual ice cream desserts, try gelato! This traditional Italian dessert is lighter than ice cream, both in calories and in taste. Gelato D'italia, located in Cherry Creek, is set up like an ice cream parlor, with tables to sit at while you savor your gelato, as well as more comfortable seating. Take it from an ice cream connoisseur – gelato is worth trying! more

Better than ice cream 9/13/2005

If you have never had gelato, you have to try this place. It is like ice cream, but much better. It is creamier and had so much more taste. This place is kind of expensive, but worth the treat. If you are in the Cherry Creek Area, stop in for a scoop of the vanilla bean. Creamy goodness! more

A Gift from the Gelato Gods 8/16/2005

What can be better than ice cream on a hot summer day in Dever? Only one thing I can think of - the gelato and sorbet from Gelato d'Italia in Cherry Creek North. The gelato lacks the heavy creaminess of ice cream, and thus the butter fat. Instead, it focuses on intense flavors that tingle on the tongue. The fruit flavors, like rasperry, strawberry and fruits of the forest, taste like they were recently picked from the vine. The cappuccino chip reminds me of the aroma and flavor of a perfectly brewed espresso drink. Taste test before deciding and take advantage of the European 1/2 scoops - two flavors for the price of one small. Sit outside or walk around the neighborhood shops while the sun sets... It's the next best thing to a vacation in Italy. more
