My friends and I had the best experience ever at a restaurant over the weekend. We were looking for good sushi, but we found not only that but servers that sincerely cared about us having a good time. Our server was very attentive and knowledgable and we never had to wait or wonder when our drinks or food would arrive. It was just a enjoyable experience all around and I would recommend it to friends visiting the area.
Pros: service, food, atmosphere
Cons: busy

I've been to the new location twice, so have only had two items from the menu, but both were fantastic. My giant burger (Dez) was blasted with great favor including fresh chopped chile. Next, was a (Belen) breakfast burrito smothered in great New Mexican green chile. Its refreshing to see someone make green chile without chalking it full of corn starch and flour to thicken it. I could taste the freshness. Great service from the crew. Thank you. Get the beer and margs flowing quickly to complete the experience and a star is born.
Pros: Nice New Location, Nice Menu
Cons: Liquor License? I really needed the Tecate

I have been to Aix multiple times in the past few months. I recently moved to Uptown and wanted to find a place where I was comfortable and felt like a valued guest when there. Aix is it. Their menu has changed recently and has gone back to "Modern French Cuisine"; this I couldn't be happier with. The Marrow Encrusted Filet Mignon falls apart with a butter knife; it's one of the best steaks I've ever tried, and I'm not even a huge red meat fan. The House Salad is by far the best in Denver; mixed greens, warm pears, melted brie and the BEST dressing I've ever had, a maple vinaigrette. I finished my meal with their Creme Brulee, a Cherry Creme Brulee, again, the best I've ever had.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is what topped it off for me; it's small and quaint, yet surprisingly I didn't feel crowded. My server was excellent, was able to pair a wine with my meal for me, suggested everything I had ordered as her favorite and was extremely well educated of their menu. Love, love, loved it! Aix, thank you, and I will be back!

I've been eating at this restaurant for years and have never been disappointed. I traveled through Italy for two weeks and never got a meal close to as good as I've gotten in this restaurant.
Get there when they open to ensure you don't have to wait. They open at 5.
Great food - Great prices. What else could anyone want in a restaurant.
Also, it made it in 5280 Magazine for top 10 restaurants priced at under $50 for two. You can spend much less than that if you don't get drinks or dessert.
Pros: Fantastic Italian food from a real italian.
Cons: The secret is out. You'll probably wait for a table.

Black Pearl is one of my new favorite places! They have wonderful variety--gorgeous steaks, delicious seafood, but then as my title suggests--yummy french fries and even donuts! My favorite thing there though, is the calamari. Forget fried rings and think marinated chunks that melt in your mouth.
Prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place.

The food was great, the atmosphere was just adorable and chic, and everyone was very friendly. From my table I could see into the kitchen and watch as the chefs made their every move... I love watching people cook! Also, I find one thing that is very important is the restroom(s). :D They were very clean and rather cute.... All in all, you absolutely have to eat at Tables.
Pros: very cute decor, and friendly staff
Cons: a bit more light would have been nice

We wanted to have a ?fine dining? experience in Denver and were having a difficult time deciding between Fruition and Barolo Grill. When Paul Attardi, General Manager and Co-owner of Fruition telephoned us to confirm our reservation we still hadn't decided.
He was so charming and accommodating that our decision was made easy. Audre told him about reading bad reviews of the male waiter with the gray ponytail on the CitySearch site and asked him if we could have another waiter. He said "of course we could."
We were greeted by Paul Attardi when we arrived and given a choice of tables. We chose the table for 4 under the mirror in the front room. Our table was comfortable. The other tables really are too small and too close for comfort. The room is small and lovely.
Our waiter was Aaron and he was very good. It was crowded but we never felt rushed or ignored. We had a lovely meal and were very happy that we chose Fruition.
Audre?s sister selected a 2002 Rotllan Torra, Reserva, Priorat, Spain ($52) for us. We all liked it.
As is our habit Dimitri and Audre shared everything. We started with the Roasted Butternut Squash Bisque ($9) that was delicious. Our hosts' starters were one Crispy Duck Leg Confit ($13) and a Pasta Carbonara House-Cured Pork Belly ($11). We tasted everything and everything was well-prepared and very good. The pork belly was exotic and excellent.
For our main course Dimitri and Audre shared the Pork Tenderloin ($23). It was tender, tasty and enjoyable. Our hosts had one Diver Scallops ($24) which was great. The Duck Breast ($24) that my sister ordered disappointed her. It was too tough.
For dessert we ordered the Buche du Cremier Candied Baby Beets, ($8) that was good but not great. The restaurant brought us a complimentary Lemon Meringue Pie Graham Cracker Crust ($8) for our birthdays which we liked better.
The meal for the four of us cost around $225 and was thoroughly enjoyable.
Pros: the creative food
Cons: the tables are generally too small and close together

Prices range from a $8 burger to a $23 steak, so there was something for everyone on the menu. I ended up getting the fish and chips, which was delicious. They let me switch out the coleslaw and french fries for cottage cheese and white rice. Service was extremely fast and friendly. I'll definitely eat here again the next time I make it out to Denver. Well worth the price.
Pros: Own parking lot, classy atmosphere, quiet, food, service.
Cons: Hard to spot, small lit sign.
