Not only is it less expensive than a massage, a float involves NO unwanted conversation. I mean, isn't that what a massage is all about? Relaxation, but over half the time is usually spent chit-chatting with the massage therapist, thereby eliminating the goal of relaxation. Don't get me wrong, I love a good massage and some chit-chat, but if you want TRUE relaxation, try a float at the Float Matrix. It is a quick, quiet way to get the feeling of a 3 hour massage. I'll admit it is NOT for the extreme control freak, because you have to ""surrender"" to the darkness and weightless and really SINK IN to yourself!! This is coming from a mid-grade control freak, and I LOVE IT! Plus, the owner and the facilities are VERY welcoming! Try it! Pros: Affordable Cons: I don't think they are open Monday's or is it Sunday's? more

I can't describe the feeling exactly, other than the fact that I felt at ease with myself 11/12/2007

I first heard about Floating over an ago. I always wanted to try it, however a few fears of being in a dark tank floating on water, and no music kind of prevented me from actually going through with the process. A few weeks ago my mother came into town to visit. She has always been into alternative medicine so I got her and myself a dual package.
