First Serve Tennis

I rarely take the time to sit down and write reviews about places unless I had a bad experience but I really wanted to tell everyone about our wonderful experience at First Serve. We are new to tennis and we went to this store because a friend of mine recommend it to me. The minute we walked in the owner greeted us and was very nice and spent almost an hour with us showing us all of the different rackets they had to offer. He was extremely patient with us newbies and made us feel very comfortable. He never tried to over sell us rather recommending we buy lower priced rackets since we were just learning to play. It is so nice to know there are still small businesses out there who really take time to help their customers like they did with us. more

Ive been a customer at First Serve since I was 12 years old, now I'm 24 and I still shop there cuz it is by far the best place in SA to get my tennis gear and racquets strung. The guys that work there are all so nice and know their craft. They do the best racquet stringning and have a huge selection of the latest tennis racquets, shoes and clothing.\r \r I read the negative review and felt it necessary to respond. I am telling you Rich and his staff are amazing!! more

First Serve is ALWAYS backing tennis events for kids. The people who work in the shop are very respectful of my own kids when we go in, (even though we may not be the biggest spenders) and have gone to great lengths to make sure their racquets were strung, even at the last minute! Their apparel is always fresh, tasteful, and tempting. They always seem glad to have our business. Pros: Go to great lengths to support SA tennis + ...great stuff! The owner, richard, has terrible customer service and whenever I've gone, I've been treated poorly and like if I was a beginner. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Been around a long time. Sponsor worth tennis events. Good peeps. Know their stuff, real pros. Helpful and care. Pros: Knowledge and Ability Cons: Fast and Good, not Cheap more

The team of professionals at First Serve Tennis go above and beyond to help players of all levels to find the right equipment for their game. They make the junior players who shop there feel like tour pros. Rich, the owner, gives his time freely to answer questions and help players choose the right equipment for their game. He is a wonderful encourager. He supports tennis throughout the San Antonio community, especially junior events. I wouldn't go anywhere else for tennis equipment, clothes, shoes, or stringing. We have traveled to tournaments all around the country. We haven't been to a better pro shop anywhere. Pros: see review Cons: none more
