Bad service decent food 7/18/2011

Pros: food is cheap and fast Con: the service here is terrible they actually talk back at the customers I've been here more than my fair share of times usually with my family and occasionally friends, and about every time i come here, i hear the waitresses talking loudly and sometimes even yelling. Once when i was picking up food, I overheard the waitress yelling back at the customer for not speaking clearly for and order and getting a different set of food. Personally i have no grudges to the workers here, but would it be so hard to ask for nicer service? more

Amazing 2/2/2006

a table of 8 people, at least serveral entrees of various types, soup, soda, shakes, and bubble tea. the food was very tasty and way affordable at less than $60 (not including tip) for all of us including the drinks. i highly recommend stopping by this restaurant when you're in the area... they're open late too.... 'til 1am (useful for when you're in the city). =) Pros: avocadao shake, spicy calamari, affordable Cons: parking, a little crowded more

Cheap Eats 12/2/2005

They offer specials during the day from 11-1p and again from 3-6pm. Dishes run from $2.25 to $2.80 between 3-6pm. For 3 bowls of won ton noodle soup, won ton ho fun soup, beef stew noodle soup, fried squid and green onion pancakes and 2 tapioca drinks, it came to a mere $20, and we were all full. The green onion pancakes were good but the fried squid uneventful. They serve large, plump won tons with whole baby shrimp and a large chunk of meat on the inside, whereas at most restaurants you would get a itty bitty meatball inside. Service can be slow during peak hours. There's a huge selection of tapioca, tea/milk drinks. Defintely plan to go back again. Pros: inexpensive, good food Cons: service, parking, crowded more

not just cheap, but simply can't find better 6/19/2005

I started going to D&A about 4 years ago, but don't go there often anymore since I have since moved out of the city. However, it still surprises me each time I go, just how good the food is. The price is good, but that's totally irrelevant to me. I would pay much more for the food they cook up. I just haven't found any other restaurant in SF that cooks up a better baked pork chop rice or ying yang fried rice. HK style Chinese food at its best. The 3 dishes for $16 also offers all the usual variety at a great taste and price also. If this Richmond location isn't so inconvenient for me, I'd still be frequenting this place all the time. There's one in Oakland too! Pros: Tastes just right, Baked pork chop rice, 3 dishes for $16 more

Great Chinese/Late Night Dining on Clement 4/23/2005

This place is really good for Hong Kong style Chinese food and is open late. It's one of the few places to get a tapioca drink after 10pm. They have a great deal where you get three dishes for $15.95. This includes soup & rice too! I always go with my friends for that. Don't worry that 99% of the people inside are Chinese (that's a good thing!) since the menus & specials on the wall all have English on them. They also have Western food on the menu, like spaghetti, but I don't who gets those. Pros: Great Food, Nice Prices, Open Late Cons: No atmosphere, Brusque Service more
