Original, healthy, and very good food. They do have a nice kids menu. The server was kid friendly and engaged my toddler. Also provide crayons, books, and toys. The clean bathroom was appreciated by this mom. more

Kid Friendly but ok service 3/22/2012

The food was ok, not great but not bad. I recommend ordering simple dishes like the pancakes or eggs. I like that they have an outdoor play area for kids. Also a plus is the organic healthy selections and bocce court that kids can play on when there's no adults. Kids eat for $1 every day from 5-7 pm and their food comes out first which is a plus. I'm only giving 4 stars because I felt the server wasn't particularly friendly, but overall would come back because of the Kid amenities. more

Great Breakfast 9/21/2009

We stopped in for a quick breakfast before an all day bike ride...we weren't disappointed the food was fresh and tasty, the staff friendly and helpful, the coffee was good. Only thing the tables could have been a bit cleaner. more

Worth a move to Portland 4/24/2006

I live in Seattle, but I try to eat at Vita Cafe every time I'm down in P-town. Fake BLT or Turkey Club...yum. It's nice to eat veggie comfort food and not feel gross afterward. Vegan French toast is also really good here. I enjoy the ambiance as well. I can't wait to go back! more

Mostly Vegetarian 1/4/2006

This is a popular hang out spot, pretty laid back and casual. They serve a few meat dishes but mostly vegetarian dishes. They serve a very good ginger pear juice, this is a good example of an unusual tasty and healthy offering. It can get pretty busy but if you are in a social mood this can be good, so skip this if you want a tranquil evening. more

Family-friendly veggie comfort food 8/16/2005

Monday through Friday evening, one kid per adult eats for $1! Add to that some comforting, decently priced, healthy food, and you can see why this is one of our family's regular spots. Plus, Oregon range-fed beef is used in their one non-veggie item, hamburgers. And I guess they now have seafood, too, but we haven't tried it yet. more
