I know how to crochet and knit, but I know that my attraction to yarn and the things it can produce is more about color and texture. Hilltop Yarn is beautiful inside. It's got tons of awesome and unique yarn (with some prices to match) but I just love to walk around in the store and touch the different items. It's really great and very inspiring. Now I just have to find someone to make me stuff!

As a recovering sewaholic, it's hard to walk into a fabric store and not get just a bit of something. I just went to Nancy's and I thought, "Man, this place has all the fabrics I dream about, but can never find."
If you just want some cheap stuff, go someplace else, but if you're looking for unique, interesting, and colorful fabrics, then this is the place. I'm making my wedding dress and am reconsidering fabrics cause I saw so many awesome ones at Nancy's.

First off: the people are usually great and the dessert is good.
My beef with the melting pot is the 'atmosphere.' It's just not that exciting. If you have friends or family who don't 'get out much' then it's probably really exciting. But there are so many other places to eat in Seattle! I've been there several times now (with the aforementioned folks who don't get out much) and I just don't see the excitement. Maybe that's because fondue isn't my favorite. It just feels too standard. It could be really cool...but it's just a place with fondue pots at your table.

I've been frequenting this location of Larry's Market for the past week and I haven't been disappointed. They have a large selection of LOTS of things: bulk, salad bar, sandwich bar, hot deli food, cold deli food, olive bar, healthy foods, etc.
It can be expensive, but I don't mind paying for good quality.
The business is trying to get sold but I hope it maintains its quality and great service. I enjoy shopping there.

My grandpa always comes to town and requests a family meal at Burgermaster. While I can't say the food is very healthy (although, they do have a salad bar), I can't resist my grandpa. My favorite foods are the grilled cheese and the Tom and Jerry (eggnog) milkshakes. My grandpa likes the Rhubarb pie. It's a good alternative to McDonald's.

As with many good b-fast places in Seattle, Pete's can be a long wait. But as others have attested to, it's a good classic breakfast. I've only been there once, but I really enjoyed it. And since it's gotten other great reviews, I'll be sure to visit it again.
I like the family atmosphere...an attentive wait staff can make or break the meal and in this case, Pete's gets rave reviews.

While I have never bought a house from Darrin, I do know that he is a VERY dynamic person. He's really involved in the process. I like Darrin because his assertive attitude and friendly conversation is engaging and can actually make you feel comfortable very quickly. I wouldn't buy something from someone who couldn't engage on a real level. He might seem intimidating to the introverted, but he's not intimidating at all.
And he seems to sell a lot of houses.

This company has many locations but I like this location the best. Although a small store, the staff is friendly and really knowledgeable. They have a catalog (and I think you can order online?) and the products are greatly discounted. You can get more than vitamins and supplements too. Health care items, some energy bars, or just strange things that regular drugstores or health food stores don't carry.

I took a yoga class here a while back and I liked it. I should have gone to a beginner class (I chose an 'all levels' class) but the teacher was really good. The class was big so I recommend that you know a bit about yoga before you go so that you're not doing the poses wrong and then not getting any help.
SHC also has an amazing Aikido program. I have know a few people to study under Sensei Bookman (Bookman Sensei?) and they have great respect for him.
There is also bodywork at SHC by appointment. Pretty cool.
